“I had an excellent meal at Abu Nawras restaurant on 97th Street + 129th Street. I'm not sure if it's Lebanese, Syrian, or something else, but everything was delicious, especially the kippe (spelled a different way on this menu)--a type of crispy meatball (crisp on the outside because it's made partly with bulgar). I would happily go back.“

“Not only do they have the best shawarma in town, they're also wonderful community members. I had my credit card stolen this week so when I went to pay with my debit card I realized I had lost it earlier today. Unable to pay the owner said to come back another day to pay. For all they knew I could have been lying to get a free meal but because of their kindness I have something to eat tonight.“
