Do not spend your hard earned money here. The service could be described as painful. I had a hotdog with saurkrout and it was terrible, tasted like big soggy onions. The fries seemed they were all the scraps from the bottom of the oil. Considering how EXPENSIVE these hot dogs are, i would have expected at least something good. Go to A&W, they are cheaper and at least you get what you pay for.

I’ve been eating Fat Franks for a decade now. What a miserable end to a Fringe tradition.
Ordered a dog and fries. Got my fries 20 seconds after I ordered. They were cold and stale. Clearly just batch frying food. Then, after waiting a few minutes for my hotdog, I asked the girl for it and she looked at me like I had two heads. She handed me a stale bun and a wrinkley dog.
Only condiments now are ketchup, mustard and BBQ sauce. What happened to the sauce variety? That was the best part.
You can get far better sandwiches for the same price at any of the restaurants surrounding the festival.
I guess I’ll have to find a new Fringe tradition now.

You can't have just one person working at dinner time on a Friday. No matter how good the food or service is, it's way too slow and very frustrating.
Was excited to try this place out but after spending $15 for a Rueben hot dog and fries it was very underwhelming for the price. Better off going to a grocery store and just buying some cheap hot dogs/buns, pretty much the same. The little trailer on Whyte Ave or Canadian Tire parking lot used to be so much better.
Gluten free hot dogs and buns!

Worst hotdog I’ve had in my life. Ordered three for just under $30. See photo. Waited awhile too. Think they were cooked in the morning and zapped after I ordered. $10 dogs and really really terrible like yesterday’s dried uppers from the picnic. Oh stale bread too! Beyond stale in fact
Update- franchise emailed me to try and get review deleted. I went through all the steps on website and no response from vendor. Wish I could rate -10stars Franks is well below worst backyard hotdog I’ve ever had.

Decent food but expect to wait 15-20+ minutes for a takeout order of a hot dog and fries.
