I used to really enjoy Feng Donburi when they first opened — the fish-to-rice ratio was generous, and the food tasted amazing. Unfortunately, the portion sizes have noticeably shrunk while prices keep going up. Whether we order takeout or dine in, the servings are inconsistent and smaller than before.
The udon soup also feels incomplete — there's very little broth compared to what you'd expect from similar dishes like pho or ramen. It seems like they’re trying to cut back, but it ends up hurting the experience. And the curry rice is consistently served lukewarm, which is disappointing. Hot food should be hot, especially curry.
While the quality of the ingredients is still good, the inconsistency and reduced value make it hard to keep coming back. I really hope to see some improvements because this place had great potential.

I normally order from skip, but oh my goodness !!it taste even better in person (especially the service ) ! I love their tuna and salmon bowls😍 but the best part of all is the service !!! Jen , is super nice and helped answer all my questions without any hesitation . Super helpful as always😊

This is the second time we've gone to Feng Donburi. I can't say enough about the hospitality we've received. They came to the grandkids with toys and as many candies as they wanted! They loved it and as important, the food was good. I recommend letting the them treat your family to a great experience.

Feng Donburi is a gem in Edmonton for fresh, well prepared Japanese food. The sashimi is unbelievably fresh, you can really taste the quality in every bite. The beef tataki is perfectly seared and packed with flavor, easily one of the best I’ve had in the city.
We tried several rolls, the Sunset, Alaska, and Rainbow rolls, each one was expertly made, with a great balance of flavors and textures. The shrimp tempura was light and crispy without being oily, the chicken donburi, beef donburi, and chicken katsu were all cooked to perfection and full of flavor.
The restaurant is very clean and well maintained, the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming. Service is excellent, the staffs are attentive, friendly, and genuinely care about the dining experience. You can truly see and taste the chefs’ passion and effort in every dish they make.
Highly recommend Feng Donburi for anyone who loves fresh sushi, delicious Japanese comfort food, and top notch service.

Four of us dined here and had the regular sashimi, beef tataki, sashimi bento, rainbow roll, mango tango, tonkotsu ramen, unagi don, and two ice creams today. Every single dish was on another level — absolutely phenomenal.

This is my favourite restaurant in the world because the food there is so good especially the mango shrimp! Every time I’m hungry I remember the delicious mango shrimp and my mouth starts to water! Best restaurant ever!
I hate to give this place a low review but I ordered the rainbow roll and there was no sauce or toppings. It was quite dry… the inside of the restaurant however was really beautiful and the ladies helping me were really nice. Hopefully they can make these changes to this item and I would come back.

Thoroughly enjoyed our first experience here. The staff were so courteous and kind to our family with kids. The Alaskan salmon roll had great flavor and was not overly covered in mayo. Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. The teriyaki salmon was flakey and moist. If you like spicy, the pork kimchi donburi was delicious, but the only critique we have is that we wish there was more pork belly in it. 100% would come here again. Highly recommended!
