We had a great time dining as a large group of 13 for a birthday. I made the reservation online and they followed up to confirm that our seating arrangement that they had for us would be ok. It was our first time dining here and our server, (I cannot remember his name, I'm so sorry!) was great! He made sure to introduce himself to each guest that arrived and told us about the specials. He was always checking up on us even though it was so busy that night. He brought us some shots for the bday girl and just connected with our group while making sure we were taken care of. The food and drinks all came out great. They had a a lot of options on the menu which was why we chose the place for our group. We had the lobster risotto, and steak which was cooked to our liking. Their drink special for the night was the Old Fashioned and that also tasted excellent! All in all, we had a great group dining experience. We've been to other restaurants with this same group and had missed meals, inattentive servers etc.

Food was good when it finally showed up. We waited a long time for our main meals to come out. The appetizers came out quick which was great but we waited around 45 mins for our main course to come out after eating the appetizers.

Great lunch spot. Food was divine, service was quick, price point is great. Looks like a great place to watch the game and the place is visually appealing!

We've given this location a couple of chances, but unfortunately, our experiences have been consistently underwhelming. The food and drinks were mediocre at best, with the drinks notably small for the price point. Service was very slow, and our server never checked in on us during the meal. When she did stop by, she was very polite and seemed clearly frazzled, which led us to assume the restaurant was short-staffed. While we understand that staffing issues can happen, this was our second visit with similar issues, so it feels more like a pattern than a one-off situation. We really wanted to like this place, but sadly, it hasn't lived up to expectations.

We were greeted upon our arrival. They had our reservation and called me by name. We were quickly seated in a quiet and comfortable booth. The server explained the lunch special and took our drink order. Upon her return with the drinks we placed our order. The food arrived quickly and was as we ordered. The food was served at the perfect temperature. She provided a jug of water for our table. The ambiance was perfect, quiet and comfortable. We will definitely try this restaurant again.

Good service, attentive once we indicated ready to order. Large menu to choose from. Soup and Sandwich luncheon offer was a good value. Not busy at Noon on a Wednesday.

Was a great place but they need to settle on the salt. The steak and potatoes were way too salty. Couldn't finish our meals. Would go back but I would ask for no salt.

This place is such a gem. From the manger who is not only super kind and accommodating he really, really cares and it shows. We opted to sit in the lounge as it was empty and we wanted to talk our loud selves out. With out disturbing others.

The restaurant was a steady flow with many tables already occupied on the restaurant side at 6:20. Our server (I feel so bad that I am terrible with names) she was absolutely wonderful. The value for the quality of food, portion size and the level of service is so suprising and reminiscent of pre covid that I almost hate to review it so well and compete with others to come back.

I have seen a few other reviews in which the steaks or at least one was a bit overdone. I want to make it clear that I am a hard core medium rare. My companion a well. They both came well to well done. So I hope that is something they can address. That being said the ribeye and seafood meadly even overdone was better than most places done right. Also it didn't dissuade me one bit from attending again this evening. Trying a bunch of appies at their 25% discount night. I was not disappointed. The steak bites (which I am not usually a fan) were top notch. I had no intention of eating any of them. After being coaxed to try, I ate half the plate. The drunken mussles, I mean it's Edmonton. Seafood is never fresh. But they were really, really great. The chicken salad wraps had a bit of a kick but well balanced and filling. Thanks again for another great meal and don't stop doing what you do. It's rare and refreshing. Usually I begrudge going out to eat and I'm sure many feel the same way. With shrinkflation and crap service. The constant expectation of the consumer to fulfill a large tip quota. Shamed into overpaying to supplement poor service workers' incomes. This place is different it makes me happy to spend my money. I look forward to the next excuse to visit again.

This was our first time at flame and barrel and we were so not disappointed. It was outstanding food, service and management. We will definitely be back. Perfect noise level.

I chose this restaurant because it is quiet and food is very good. Our server added to the pleasurable dinner by being accommodating and super friendly! I would definitely return 😍

I had a reservation for 7:30pm for 6 people. I got there at 7:30. The people ahead of us had just gotten there and they had a reservation for 7:15pm for 3 people but they had 6 people with them. The manager (?) said that's no problem, we have a table for 6 available right now. Ok, I thought nothing of it until I checked in and they told me no tables are available right now and they're just waiting for the next table of 6 to leave. 10 mins later, no one was leaving and they finally seat us at a bigger table meant for 10. Why didn't they make the 7:15pm customer who was late and changed their reservation wait for that table? It was a busy night and our waitress was awesome. It's also not her fault the chef didn't understand what medium rare is. All our steaks were medium to medium well. We were all hungry and didn't want to send the food back for it to go to waste. Otherwise the rest of the food was good and again, we loved our waitress!

Typically, I only give reviews when they are raving reviews. Either we hit a bad day, as our food took 45 minutes to get to our table. When the food arrived my salmon was overcooked and so was my husband's chicken. We didn't fully enjoy the meal but it was a night out. When they asked us how our food was, we told them the truth as we are a couple of foodies. We didn't ask for anything from them, but the restaurant did make up for it, and offered us 20% off our bill.

Flame & Barrel never disappoints. The staff are wonderful ... great customer service! The food is great and the ambience is perfect. One of our favourite visits to F & B is brunch on weekends!
