Our server McKenzie was Super knowledgeable and enjoyable 😊 Thanks for the Great Evening and kudos to the manager JJ
Booked reservation using Opentable Feb 4th for Valentine's day Feb 14 at 6 pm. Got a call from Flame and Barrel on Feb 8th and was told they over booked and wanted to change my booking to 4 pm or 8:45. Told them that those times did not work for us. Suddenly they had a cancelation and booked us for 6:45 Feb 14th. Also received a confirmation email from Opentable for the new time. Arrive at 6:30 Feb 14 and surprise they could not find my reservation. I was then asked to show my email of the booking. Even though I spoke to a person at Flame and Barrel to who change my reservation to 6:45. They did find a table for us and for 6:45. We were a party of 4. There was only 3 chairs and two settings. Disappointed that they could not set our table before seating us since the manager walk around the restaurant to find us a table. We then had to wait at least 5-10 minutes before any staff approached our table. Water was brought to our table but still no menus. Finally the waitress stopped and asked if we wanted drinks, we told her we wanted menus. For the money I would not recommend Flame and Barrel. The food and the service was not worth the experience.
John was our server and he was excellent. The food was great and the atmosphere was wonderful
My wife and I went here on valentines day and it was busy as we expected, we had a reservation and it was cancelled by the restaurant due to a system crashing and losing their reservations apparently. They did call me and rescheduled this but told me the time I asked for was not available any longer and that I had to come over an hour and a half earlier than expected or after 8pm. I did not like this as it was not my fault their computer system had a problem and they told me this just 2 days before valentines day. I did not like that they could not keep my original reservation so kept the 4:30pm time they asked. I waited a day and told them if I cannot have my original reservation that I was going somewhere else and somehow they magically got my original one back. On the day of we arrive on time and they told us that our table was not ready, which I found a bit odd, I was hoping they did not lose our reservation again. Luckily they did not not, we were sat at a nice table and all the tables had a single rose for the ladies which I thought was quite nice. The drinks were very good and came quick, the food was really good for the most part. The chicken was really good but the portion size I thought was a little small for the price they charged but made good and lost of flavor. The only complaint we had was my wife ordered a chicken alfredo dish and the sauce had a taste of seafood to it somehow. My wife is allergic to some types of seafood and when we asked about this they assured us it was not made in a dish with seafood, but yet some how it still tasted a little off with like fish or shrimp or something. The manager came to see us and I explained the situation and he was very nice and pleasant to deal with and he assured me we would have the plate taken off our bill which he did. We thank him for that. Overall this place is very nice, the waitress was excellent and very easy to talk with, the food was mostly excellent. We will return for more and come back.
Waitress Courtney was excellent. Sucked that I requested a non-high top but got it and was sat in some back corner where we could not enjoy the atmosphere at all. Both steaks requested medium rare, one was medium and the other was medium well (we do not send food back). Mashed tatters are very very garlicky (garlic wasn't cooked enough so semi raw, so more potent than anticipated). Will go again though - probably cause Courtney was a delight and well, didn't get a chance to truly experience this place.
3 people from our party of 8 ordered the steak and we all agreed that it was lacking in flavor. We had to add a lot of salt and pepper for it to be good. We liked the rosemary potatoes and yam fries though.
Food was awesome - The steak sandwich was amazing (one of the best I have ever had). My husband also said the Peruvian sandwich was great. Side salad and fries were above par as well. Service also good and surroundings are welcoming and comfortable. Will be back.
Went with family of 10. Had good service and good food. They were accommodating and it was a positive experience.
It was our first time at Flame & Barrel, the inside is nice and the service was good. The choices of drinks were good, they had big tv's with sports playing that was nice. We ordered four meals two were very good, a lobster risotto & a Brie chicken. But our ribeye steaks were not as good, we asked for med rare & got more rare plus chewy & the special topping was average. The other ribeye steak was asked for med but came med rare. I was thinking their quality and consistency for steaks should be like the Keg, it wasn't. Keep working on your steaks Flame & Barrel, but everything else was good! Thank you.
Our first time, won't be our last! Every bite was delicious. We had wings as an appie, burger/fries and fish/chips. Thank you!!

Came for my husband's birthday, had not been before and wanted to try some place new. The restaurant itself is lovely- spacious, nice booths, clean, not too noisy. However, it seemed they were understaffed as our server also had tables in the bar on the other side of the restaurant. This led to us being forgotten about for long periods of time. There was also no bartender so the servers were all making their own drinks. The manager seemed to just kind of wander around instead of doing anything that might actually be helpful like making drinks, running food, checking on tables. The food was good but also very heavily seasoned which took away from the flavour of the meat somewhat. As this location is on the other side of the city from where we live, we likely won't visit again.

Two friends and I went to celebrate my 60th birthday(dinner and a movie). I recommended Flame because I had been before and thought it was pretty good. Now I dont want to count them out, but from start to finish this particular night was not good at all. First we ordered drinks and unfortunately one fell off the servers tray and smashed all over the table giving my friend a red wine sangria bath. While everyone came over to clean it up and took great concern for the server because she cut herself, little concern was shown for us and especially my friend whose blouse and pants were soaked. I asked for wet hot cloth and they brought a glass of soda and about 10pks of those little wet wipes. Seriously? She was drenched. We had to move tables while they cleaned up the mess. Now the food...after concern there may be glass n my friends Caesar they brought her a new one with tobasco which she ordered without...then when the food came (all 3 had various steaks and lobster) first thing we noticed was that the garlic mash looked greyand were very gluey (just very off), the mushrooms and veg were ice cold and my friends filet was way over cooked. They made her a new one that came cold and pretty much blue rare... (ordered med rare).. by this time me and my other friend were finished and she wasnt able to eat. We had enough and had to get to the theatre. Now we know mistakes happen and we were very understanding about the spilled drink.. but considering everything, the manager was very condescending making excuses for the potatoes (grey and gluey) and never once asked my friend how she was doing and she was not even offered a complimentary drink. (except the one she was wearing) She had to go to the movie wet and stinking like red wine...no offer to pay for her cleaning ... finally we had enough and expressed our extreme disappointment in how this was handled by the manager, he then comped our meals, I tried to insist on paying because I didnt want anyone thinking we were trying to get a free meal, he didnt let us pay which was good but he shouldve not have been prompted to act. Sad to say I dont think Ill be able to convince my friends to go back...
