A tiny bit old and average Marriott hotel BUT Ben from the front desk was extremely helpful with everything from water bottles, upgrading me, as well as keeping my forgotten belongings safe. 10/10 for Ben

Only thing was no free breakfast :(

Rooms: Room was great. A bit old but gets the job done

Walkability: Not great. Definitely requires a car

Noteworthy details: Ben was great

I stayed here with my wife and 2 year old on February 2nd 2025, we were only here for one night for a doctors appointment at Stollery.

Room was clean and the extra amenities I had asked for were waiting for us when we arrived. Front desk was manned by Ben who was fantastic, hoped to see him again on my next stay.

We’re back again for February 11-12 and the front desk staff were definitely not on Ben’s level, disinterested is the word I’d use to describe our interactions. First night we had a crib as we asked for but the bathtub drain plug didn’t work. We unexpectedly had to stay another night because doctors aren’t great at communicating and the room for the 12th didn’t have a crib. Which, I know is not guaranteed so maybe it was busy. Ben gets 5 starts, but they lost one because of the subsequent front desk staff.

But all instances, rooms were clean and ready. Come early though, because even on a normal night it seems the parking fills up quickly.

Rooms: Clean and ready. Bathtub drain plug didn’t work, and lives wires hanging down below the heater.

Food and drinks: Restaurant has good food, never seen it overly busy but only ever one server. Price is a little high I think though.

The hotel itself is beautiful, odd layout but nice. Housekeeping was amazing, restaurant was really poor service. Only one server in between bar and restaurant, Beware for events - a celebration was hosted and when we got back to our hotel at 10 there was no parking - people were parked even in the middle of the road - I had to park in Wendy’s parking lot over night. the lady was very rude- horrible customer service and basically told me I was out of luck, I understand it’s not her fault but had I known there would be a huge wedding party I would have booked elsewhere. Day staff, was great.

I'm fed up with not saying something when something needs to be said... This hotel is okay.. clean kitchen.. they very often struggle with bed bugs here though and the staff are extremely hit and a miss. The younger staff are nice with decent customer service.. older staff that are all related including the manager are terrible here. They love to drink for free here and over serve and especially regulars who love to drink and drive like bloody idiots... Service is dicey and idk if I would recommend it anymore ever again!

I recently checked in at 11 AM for a work trip, and unfortunately, my experience was not as pleasant as I had hoped. The check-in staff was rude. Despite the fact that my booking was handled by a professional, the staff found faults and blamed me for issues beyond my control.
Before visiting the East 75 restaurant in the evening, I went to Dukes Pub. There was no one to welcome me, and I sat there for 10 minutes without anyone coming to take my order.
At East 75, the board advertised half-price pints and domestic bottles, but I was charged full price. Additionally, the waitress was unaware of the happy hour details, which added to my disappointment.
Furthermore, my professional agent had booked my stay with breakfast included. However, the front receptionist informed me that I was not eligible for the complimentary breakfast and that I would have to pay for it separately.
Additionally, the room next to mine was very noisy, with frequent door bangs and other disturbances. This was particularly disruptive as I had meetings to attend and needed a quiet environment.
Overall, my stay was marred by these negative experiences. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone in my personal and professional circle. I hope the management addresses these issues to improve the service quality for future guests.

Terrible Security. Be prepared to get your car window or windshield smashed and broken into. The hotel staff won’t help as this is already what you expected when living here.

Budget hotel. Rooms was fine and well equipped. Heater rattled all night (room 311). Found some hair in the tub, so wasn’t cleaned well. Not many restaurants in the area, but we had our car, so wasn’t a problem. Young man at desk was extremely friendly and even gave us another bottle of water when we asked.

We stayed at this hotel with our dog on Saturday, October 27 for a dog sport competition. Since we were traveling with a pet, the front desk agent informed us that we could only be assigned to a room on the first floor. After checking in, we went directly to our room through the security door, only to discover that both the stairway and elevator lobby were right next to our door. If you are a pet owner and a light sleeper, this would mean endless night of noises and disturbances. We quickly went back out to the front desk and shared our concerns. We also asked if we could be move to a different room, but our request was denied. Throughout the night, we were plagued by the sounds of partygoers entering and exiting through the security gate, along with loud conversations and door slamming. The noise was unbearable, prompting us to return to the front desk at 2 AM to request another room. The front desk staff were dismissive and insisted there was nothing they could do. As a result, neither we nor our dog got any sleep.

It’s incredibly frustrating and disappointing to experience such poor service from a well-known hotel brand. This experience made us feel unwelcome, reinforcing our belief that this hotel chain discriminates against pet owners. If pet owners are to be restricted to the ground floor, the layout and design should accommodate their needs better. The noise level at this hotel is unsuitable for pets.

Additionally, we found several vaping devices and used lotion bottles in our room, raising concerns about the hotel’s cleanliness. We do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The room is not sound proof. On the first level, there is a door latch that everyone in the hotel passes through, which you can hear on level one. This noise is constant as guest are active the whole night. Constant sound of the latch opening and closing.

Rooms on floor 1 should be booked with caution as it impossible to sleep. Stay away from rooms 100 -110.

In addition, the heat comes from a loud fan, so you need to choose between warmth or quiet for sleep.

Rooms: 102 is too noisy being so close to the elevator and lobby door. The door keeps opening and shutting and people talk at the vase of elevator.

Great staff, Ben was quick to check in and recognize status eligible for an upgrade. Rooms are well-kept. Just a little far from everything else.

I was here for a convention and the services was really nice. The front lobby was very nice with the waterfall wall. I really like the boardrooms and meeting rooms that we were able to use. The stuff was courteous and friendly. Definitely recommend this place for other conventions or business meetings

Nearby activities: The gallery spa is just down the road which is a wonderful place to visit if you're in town
