It's okay for quick dining when doing groceries. The food is fine, but their specials are better.

What is a buffet? Not at this place. Their website shows friday fish and chip buffet. What does that mean to the most expensive grocery store in Alberta? 1 piece of fish and a couple sides for 16 dollars. Cody the manager tried to teach me the new freson definition of buffet. I didn't do well with this condescending twirp and was unwise in my words. Lol but this guy was a real jerk. On my Way out I asked a teller what the definition of buffet was and she said it was exactly what the province of Alberta knows it as. All you can eat. But then Cody shows up and tells me to leave. Of course i was rude at this point again. Their own website calls it a buffet. Though my experience will never bring me to this place again, I would caution you not to fall for the dishonest and condescending company.

Store is clean and has some products that can't be found elsewhere but it is quite expensive compared to other grocery stores.
The last few times I came they didn't have any dry aged steaks out which was disappointing. Guy in meat department said they were too busy to cut any for weeks now which was disappointing.
Second, waited forever today for their fried fish and I was starving!!. They need to be more organized. Myself and others waited half an hour plus for them to add more fried fish and sides. The mashed potatoes were cold! I wasn't the only person who said that. I told the man at the til. I ended up throwing away half my plate.
Third disappointment was that I was told the wine was $5 a glass but after pouring it he said it was $7. I know its just a couple dollars but still don't quote one price and charge another. The tap wine sucks BTW.
Fourth- you give free icecream to kids but only to 6 and under? A kid is a kid until 12 and you give the smallest scoops. It's not gonna hurt any to give kids up to 12 a small scoop of icecream or dont at all. I noticed the man at the til charge a mom cause her kid was 7. That's so ridiculous! That's still a kid!
Anyways do better Fresnos you are substantially more expensive than other grocery stores! I'm reconsidering going back and spending my money there.
EDIT: the savor grass fed butter i bought from there was all moldy and I just bought it
Yuck it's being returned!!
Edited again: went back today and returned the butter and I was told I wasn't the only one. It has to be taken off shelves that is a safety and health hazard.
I ordered the cinnamon bun latte and paid $5.25 it looked good but it was weak! Found out they only use 1 shot!
For that price they should be using 2 shots.
Seems like Fresnos likes to skimp and save and I'm not feeling too inclined to go back

Price gouging on display. The prices only an hour drive away, are less than half of what Freson bros are charging in small town Alberta. This is crazy. Bros be profiting.
