Whyte Ave Benedict was the best benny I ever had!!
Fast friendly service food fresh fast delicious
Solid family business restaurant on Whyte that serves standard diner food AND pho (same place). Friendly staff and atmosphere is pretty chill, welcoming space for anyone. I found the food could use a bit more flavour but it’s pretty standard diner food. Highlight of the place is definitely the charm and atmosphere🙌
I LOVE THIS PLACE. They are so accommodating, whether you're a party of 1 or a party of 8, they're hustling to get you seated. Most staff will also have a friendly chat with you which I love. Tons of vegan and veggie options, and a huge menu, so there is absolutely something for everyone. Based.
Absolutely perfect breakfast/brunch and great service.
I ordered Uber and was really disappointed with the food quality at Friends and Neighbours. The chicken fingers were nothing more than grocery store-quality, highly processed frozen tenders, yet they charge $15 for a portion—for that price, you could buy two full boxes at the store and make them yourself.
The poutine was also underwhelming. The portion size was small, and instead of using real cheese curds, they went with a cheaper alternative, which completely missed the mark.
Overall, you're better off saving your money and making a much better version at home. Definitely not worth the price.
Had a hell of a time finding a coffee shop on white Ave. These folks had excellent coffee and a superb server.
Lots of menu items and very attentive
Good food in a good part of town <3
The owner lady was rude. I finished eating the pho and starting browsing cellphone for a minute. She saw me playing cellphone and took the payment machine to me and urged me to leave. The second uncomfortable thing is I saw flies there. Only been there once and never again.
Came for brunch on a snowy Sunday morning. Parked in the rear and walked around to the front entrance. Hubby and I had skillets, son had the French toast plate. Everything was delicious, service was excellent. Restaurant is neat and clean, cute little coffee shop vibe.

Great mocha and awesome breakfast tasty, high quality, and friendly staff
This is the first time hearing about this place so I decided to order on Uber. I got the green onion cake, central spicy noodle soup and the lemonade. The green onion cakes had the best flavor and wasn't just batter. The soup was VERY good and had a spicy kick. The lemonade could add a little bit more sweetness for my liking but others why's it was so good. I plan on checking out their breakfast one day!
Had to order the green onion cakes again and God they are the best in the city.
Food was okay if you are going for the basic breakfast. My friend who ordered the sizzlin omelette seemed to really enjoy his food.
My other friend who ordered a burger said his was “okay” to say the least.
The server was a little rude because they were busy and understaffed — until relief came at 11ish and the new servers were nicer.
I did not try any of the Asian dishes on the menu but I would try!
Our group is an assortment of veggie/vegan people and omnivores/meat eaters. We all said the food and service was 10/10. Their sandwiches are a hidden gem. The soups are what they're known for, but there's no wrong options here from my experiences
I got fries and gravy to go after having a full breakfast at the restaurant. Although I haven't eaten the fries yet and plan to reheat them in my air fryer at home, the portion size is disappointing. For over $7, the fact that I can visually count each fry is an absolute joke and inexcusable for that price.
