This restaurant use to be a good place to eat but l will not come back here. The service was horrible, we ordered 6 dishes and waited 2 hrs and only received 2 of the dishes. During that time no one came back to refill our tea so we had to help ourselves to the hot water. In the end we canceled the remaining dishes and paid way too much for two dishes that weren't good, taste wise or presentation.

Good food, nice place

THE NEW SUPREME

Stale and dry pan fried dumplings during dimsum. This place went downhill.

We were served old stale food. We ordered the Dinner for 2 set and the food was horrible, the wonton soup had stale, old, refrigerated char siu like you can taste and smell it was old. The deep fried shrimp is just the tempura shrimp from costco. The green onion cake was the frozen stuff my mom used to get from T&T. The rest of the stuff that were supposedly more ‘fresh’ than the aforementioned (I mean we couldn’t tell if it was old because it was stir fried), namely the stir fried beef and szechuan pork, taste exactly like something you can get from a chinese place at a mall food court. All for a fantastic price of $80 for 2 people. We would have been better off going to the mall to get the same stuff for a fraction of the price, and it probably would have been more fresh.

Please don't come here! I was around the area and came by to eat. From the service to the quality horrible. If I could give 0 stars I would. I drop by to eat by myself and she sat me down in a huge are in the middle. It was so unnecessary because they had so many tables 4 seated tables and when i asked her to sit me down in one of those the hostess was rude and told me thats all she had. When I paid it was ridiculous expensive and she ended up staying with rest of my change. ( Super dishonest) I wasn't going to argue over money but that's a NO! I asked her about the menu and gave me an attitude and walked away. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!

I came with my family to have lunch and we ordered a noodle dish and the waitress misheard the dish we originally ordered and we were given a dish we didn’t order. We advised the waitress that it was the wrong dish and not the dish that we ordered and she just shrugged her shoulders and told us that the dish they brought us was what we ordered, but it was a dish we wouldn’t have ordered in the first place because the dish they brought us contained ingredients that my mother can’t eat. They refused to give us the dish we originally ordered and did not try to make the situation better. I also asked for extra napkins because their teapot leaked all over our table when we poured our tea and the waitress never brought the extra napkins so I walked to their cutlery station and got the napkins myself. Customer service is not the best here.

They give me the wrong order, and I live too far to go back and complain.

You have to double check your bill. We have 3 tables and the bill for each table supposed to be $600 but the lady owner charged us $2700. When I got home and told my wife I paid $2700 for 3 tables of 10 people each. My wife told me it supposed to be $600/table. I came back the next day and told the owner and she gave me the $600 back right the away. I did asked her why she over charged and she said she doesn’t remember what happen.

Forever the best Dim Sum in Edmonton. I’ve eaten at every Dim Sum restaurant this city has to offer, and Golden Rice Bowl will forever be my favourite. I have been going here for over 20 years now, and the recipes have never changed. They are consistent, they are delicious, and they always hit the spot. Whenever I get invited out to a different Dim Sum establishment, it just never satisfies the craving the way Golden Rice Bowl does. While I still love the traditional food carts, having the option to order off their all-day dim sum menu for the items that didn’t come around is a huge bonus. I also find that they have a MUCH larger order selection compared to other all-day dim sum establishments, including rarer/harder to find items like Sugarcane Shrimp or XL wontons. This is my go to Dim Sum restaurant and I have never been disappointed.

Food was not great! Service was terrible. Lots of other places to have a good dimsum. They still think they are the only place in town. Try Emperors Palace. They value your business.

Top 3 dim sum in Edmonton. Cant dispute their reputation as the go to dim sum restaurant in town. If you're craving dim sum or are visiting Edmonton, you should go here. You will not be disappointed. Not bad other dishes either but dim sum is on point.
