Once upon a time in Edmonton, I ordered takeout from this place. My grandfather in law, my aunt in law, my cousin in law, my father in law, my mother in law, my brother in law, and my nephews had food poisoning. We traced it to the deep fried chicken with soy garlic sauce. They experienced nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and restlessness. My three year old nephew slept the whole night and next day. He has never been that sick. We are extremely lucky no one went to the emergency room to have his or her stomach pumped and/or hooked up to IV fluids for rehydration and electrolyte replacement. My kids were saved from the bad chicken because they did not have any. I do not like Chinese style soy garlic chicken anymore. Korean Fried Chicken with soy garlic is still okay in my books. I guess...

We had a work Christmas party for 25 people and they delivered to our function. The staff were very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience. The food was hot and delicious and arrived on time. Would definitely choose Good Buddy again!

Terrible service. Ordered food for takeaway and it took 2hrs. Quality was terrible and not worth the wait. Would never order from here again.

Happy we had a reservation for dinner. This is a busy restaurant and I know why - the food is delicious! Three of us ordered four entrees and there were plenty of leftovers.

The food was phenomenal! We got the combo for two and asked the server to help us out with choosing the entrees. We loved it so much! The food was flavourful but not overly greasy. The atmosphere was great! Very authentic, friendly servers and patrons. Will go back for sure!

Food is actually really good here, probably one of the best Chinese on the west side. Not sure why reviews are low. I’m here almost every other week and have yet to have a bad experience. Food is always good. My favourites are Peking style pork chops, beef ho fan, peking duck, assorted chow mein, fish maw soup. List could literally go on forever. Service is normal as of a Chinese restaurant, and dessert is provided also. Great place to go as a big group too. Just book a reso, it’s a full house like every night cause it’s a small restaurant.

I should have checked the reviews before I came. This place is a gong show. There is no space. It must be a fire code violation. We waited 15 mins before anyone came to see us and we had to continually try to flag her down.

We’ve been to the south side location many times. Will not return to this one.
