Good Buddy Chinese Restaurant Granville

Delivery for supper yesterday. I was so disappointed with the food! The chilli pepper & salt pork chop (椒鹽肉排）not in big pieces but came as pork bites coated thickly. The noodles 乾燒伊麵 cooked soggy like Shanghai noodles . The fried rice was so dried even drier than the overnight rice just taken from the fridge. The inside of the tofu of the fish tofu bowl was not white soft but was a kind of layers like dried bean curd.

We used to order take our very regularly and the last 6 months or so it has been a real let down. Chow mein noodles hard and the sauce a big glob, broccoli in the beef and broccoli very undercooked, wor wonton soup had very little meat/shrimp. We used to have the odd order here and there that wasn't great but definitely we have noticed a huge decline in food taste and quality since the summer. We will be trying other places for now but really hope to see the quality return to Good Buddy.

Decided to try something new and was blown away by the inviting atmosphere and delicious food, went in fairly close to closing time on black Friday and they were unphased by my late arrival. Ordered the meal for two for me and a friend and we both left full with lots of leftovers.

This is the best Chinese food we have found since we moved here from Nova Scotia and there is always plenty of everything you order. It is DELICIOUS as well.

Food is pretty standard for a Chinese restaurant. I've had both the dinner service and dim sum, and it's what you would expect. No stand out dishes for me personally.

Everything you want in a good, Chinese food restaurant. Great westernized Chinese food, and solid traditional Chinese food. Service is actually quite good, and efficient. Ordered the Singapore Vermicelli, Peking pork chop, wet flat noodle brisket, ginger onion chicken hotpot, prawns with salted egg yolk, and creamy corn on chicken fried rice. Everything was so tasty and ready on time!

The food here is really good for the price you get. We come here basically once a week and will always get leftovers. The only thing is this place has way too many tables for the space so it can get really crowded and really loud. They are always super busy so make sure to make a reservation if you plan on going.

Great food, and great service. My first time here, and I was so impressed with the food. The service was great…I never felt I had to hurry to figure out what I wanted to eat. And portions we worth the money. I will come here again, to try something different from their menu.

I bought the BBQ pork slices and BBQ half chicken with garlic soy sauce. The pork was a bit dry and lacked flavor. The chicken was crispy, but also lacked flavor. It was an underwhelming experience.

This was my first time ordering from this location. I was a regular when I lived on the Southside and ordered from their Heritage location. Today, I ordered a green onion cake, Special Fried Rice and Ginger Chicken. All I can say is: DELICIOUS! The green onion cake was savoury and moist.They gave me so much fried rice I could barely open the container without rice spilling out, and it was exceptional. The ginger chicken batter tastes like it has Chinese 5 Spice in it and it was the best I’ve ever had. I’ll be ordering again!

I understand on busier days food may take longer to make, but waiting 1 HOUR for a couple of fried food and noodles is VERY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!! And after that long wait, the food is not even good!! Their service and food has declined so much!!
