Hi. I've been in only three times, but will come by more often now. The people are really nice. The cooks take the orders and you can watch them cook if you like, or sit down in the nice seating area. It's very relaxing in there.
I went in to order out and tried something new...it was great. It had Lotus root! Anyway, I was feeling down and anxious when I popped in but the gentle atmosphere was so soothing it made me smile. Before I knew it my order was ready. I headed home still smiling quietly and enjoyed my lovely meal.
Thank you...

This is a true authentic shop. Service was good. Tables small. I wouldn’t go back though. For 1 person to have lunch it was $30.00 mind you I left a 3.00 tip. It was say ok.

I'm a fan of obscure regional cuisine and the green onion cake of Edmonton fits that elusive bill quite well. I walked from downtown to this place one weekend afternoon and found it quite empty. The decor is really interesting and the green onion cake and spring rolls (with the accoutrements) quite delicious. However, essentially what are 2 fried dough cakes with scallions for $10 is rather non-commensurate for the price and value. I'm glad I satisfied this cultural curiousity but not sure that I'd repeat.

I loved the green onion cakes here, they definitely are the best in the city!!! The owner is such a kind man...so wonderful to support a local business!
Went into purchase some green onion Cakes. The lady was so confusing, she doesn’t even know how much her prices are or could not even describe how much they were to me. I wanted four onion cakes to take home to cook. Pay $12 and she gave me already cooked onion cakes, I asked her for raw ones that are frozen and she said what’s wrong with you These were cooked yesterday. They’re fresh still. I asked her again for frozen ones to take home and she kept on being so rude to me. I will never go back and I told her that. As you can see these onion cakes are freezer burnt. I’m so upset. I won’t even go back in there to ask for fresh ones. There’s a reason why they’re going under. I heard about bad things about them and I refuse to listen until I went in myself and seeing what bad service I got.
Used to be one hell of a place.
But I guess it has went downward a couple years ago.
They now serve soggy pre-made cakes not hand made fresh cakes also seems the recipe has changed and more then likely the ingredients.
You could try but it's not the worse.

I visited this establishment for the first time on March 9th, 2025 to get some green onion cakes to go. After handing me my change the lady proceeded to go in the cooler and grab 2 green onion cakes WITHOUT WASHING HER FILTHY HANDS. She placed them on the grill and flattened them out WITH HER FILTHY HANDS. She then proceeded to grab a rag, dip it in a bucket and wipe down tables. She came back and cleaned the grease trap on the flat top, STILL NO HAND WASHING. She then proceeded to eat an apple. When the green onion cakes were done, she cut them and placed them in a bag WITH HER FILTHY HANDS. Needless to say those cakes went straight in the trash. Would give zero stars if that was an option. Will never be returning to this FILTHY establishment. PLEASE WASH YOUR HANDS WHEN HANDLING PEOPLE'S FOOD!
Food was great! Specially soup dumplings and pork and vegetables dumplings👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Feels like “home cooked” bring back the memories of my childhood back home🇵🇭.
Thanks for the free take home buns and green onion cake grandpa❤️
I thought I'd found a hidden gem with reasonably priced food, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. I ordered the pad thai, bulgogi beef, and onion cake. The onion cake was the only standout – it was delicious and deserving of a 5/5.
The pad thai was a letdown, with mushy noodles and a flavor that was off. It also lacked standard toppings like sprouts and lime.
The bulgogi beef was too sweet and had a sharp piece of plastic in it, which was alarming.
To top it off, the portions were surprisingly small. Unless you're just craving the onion cake, I'd say keep looking.
Food here is delicious and staff are very sweet and friendly! Definitely recommend getting their delicious Pad Thai or Shanghai Noodles! Obviously get the green onion cake as well!
Very delicious homemade dumplings and green onion cakes
