Guru Kitchen + Bar Ice District

First time at Guru Kitchen for the Edmonton Dining Week. I went for dinner and was pleasantly surprised by the four course menu. I had the street food crisps, chicken samosa, beef vindaloo with rice & naan and finally the dessert plate comprised of chocolate cake, gulab jamun with an assortmentof sauces. Everything tasted divine with flavors that were well balanced. I highly recommend this restaurant. If you haven't been here please give Guru Kitchen a try!

We had an exceptional dining experience at this restaurant. The lamb kebab was perfectly prepared and full of flavor, and the chef’s special dessert was a delightful conclusion to our meal. Suman, the head chef, along with his team, demonstrated remarkable professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail throughout our visit. We thoroughly enjoyed the excellent service and hospitality and look forward to returning soon.

Great service! The food and atmosphere were ok; we eat indian food a couple of times a month so I can compare it to other places really well. Our drinking glasses were dirty...and the food was average, definetly not bad.

This is 20 stars out of 5 because there was four of us... If you are into cocktails and amazing food this is the place to go if you do not book a time to go now you do not know what you're missing out on

Good food and great service! Quite mild as in spicy from what I was expecting from an Indian restaurant. Next time I will ask if they can spice it up a bit more.

Server was very good unfortunately the food came out very slowly and on the colder side (twice). Flavour was great and naan bread was excellent as always. Maybe just an off night however wasn't overly busy.

Ordered Butter Chicken and Dal Makhni, food tasted horrible and was undercooked. will not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

During Oiler games, this place is busy. Could use an extra server to help out. Front door lets cold air in...would be nice to have a different door in winter. Food was fantastic, greeter/bus person was awesome.

We had a fantastic lunch here. The service was fantastic. Great cocktails and lots of delicious food. We had the tandoori chicken, beef vindaloo and lemon shrimp all were excellent. The naan, raita and passion fruit shots were also good. Highly recommended this restaurant it was a great experience

Had great lunch today. Ordered several dishes. Cauliflower 65... delicious!! Chicken tandoori and shrimp with amazing sauce. Drinks and dessert, all beautiful to look at and tasted amazing 🤩

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are genuinely friendly. The food is excellent, with generous portions. I ordered the butter chicken with garlic naan, and it was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be visiting again.

The food at Guru Kitchen & Bar was good and well-prepared, with nice flavors and presentation. The service was okay—nothing particularly memorable, but acceptable overall. However, the prices felt on the higher side for the overall experience, especially considering the level of service. It’s a decent place for the food, but the value for money could be better.

The food quality, presentations and flavours were fantastic. Disappointing service experience. The manager was very attentive, caring and acknowledged some of the service failures. Five stars to the Chef.
