Guru Kitchen + Bar Ice District

Guru Downtown, nestled in the heart of Edmonton's downtown, offers an ideal setting for a brief meeting or a quick lunch. The attentive and prompt server ensured that our needs were met without being intrusive. While there was a minor hiccup with our orders being mixed up with another table, the overall experience was satisfactory. The food was well-prepared and presented beautifully. I'm definitely planning to return.

Great fusion Indian food, tasted very flavourful, lovely presentation. Very modern interior and feels like a new place! Service is excellent.

The food was far from “tasty” or authentic Indian(nor attempt to say “fusion”). Portion sizes were very large, could feed 2ppl easily, but it wasn't at all flavourful. Halibut curry - very bland. 69 cauliflower tasted like sweet and sour sauce. Coconut rice was horrible - sweetened dried coconut mixed with jasmine rice. Zero coconut milk or coconut taste for that matter. Just jasmine rice with steamed coconut.

Was here for a team lunch and the food we had were delicious and surprised that they offered halal food which is good for our team. Staffs were all nice and always checking how are food was, thank you!

We had some people with us who never had Indian food so we did the chefs tasting menu. We got a lot of great food at a good orice.

Over all was a good experience. We asked for the highest level of spice and was mild spice. I know it's difficult to get spice levels correct for everyone but it wasn't close. I thought the portions were pretty good. The drinks were a bit pricey. I expect a very good old fashioned for 18$. It was very average. My wife's drink was really good. Sorry I can't remember what it was. But all in all good food. Just a little bit more attention to details and it would have been a better experience Cheers

Delicious food! Friendly, polite, informative and helpful staff, quick service, and chef himself came to take our order. Fastest service we have ever got.
We tried various food items and they've nailed the recipe! Really loved the flavors and the freshness of the ingredients. Butter naan were so soft. The portion was more than enough, which was worth it. And thank you so much for complimentary dessert. My family and I very much enjoyed eating here. Will definitely come back.

Guru in the Ice District never disappoints- the food is excellent and the service is second to none. this time we brought some family members who enjoyed Guru for the first time.

Excellent food. Outstanding hospitality.

Firstly, the staff were amazing. Very friendly. We arrived quite late, but we're made to feel very very welcome. I had the Guru Lager. Very light and tasteful. Our table had the herb naan bears with Guru Butter Chicken
It was spectacular. We also had tandoori chicken sliders. Delie.

The butter chicken and naan were amazing. If I could say anything, it would be that 2 lunch items, an appetizer and sparkling waters came to almost $90. Great food, great service but certainly downtown prices

Their food was amazing like so good and the service was amazing they were so kind and respectful like just like overall amazing.

I visited Guru on Saturday evening before the hockey game, and unfortunately, the service was extremely slow. It took about 20 minutes just to receive a glass of water and a menu. While I can’t say for certain why the delay happened, I couldn’t help but feel overlooked compared to other guests. The experience left me feeling disrespected, and I don’t plan on returning.
