“We tried the peanut Satay noodle soup with steak. It was very tasty and fresh. The meat was on point and all the ingredients used were fresh. The service was fantastic and it was likely the owner, but Francis was kind and detail oriented. I highly recommend this place. “First time trying a donair and let me tell you it was delicious!! Wish I got a picture of it… we got the sweet sauce on it and loved it! The meat was very flavorful and there was plenty of meat in it as well! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants a delicious donair!“

“I love Eat Alleys as a Halal restaurant, satisfies my needs and desires. Food is extremely delicious and the attention to details is great from the flavours of the burgers, to topping offerings, portion sizes, quality of buns, and cleaning style of meat. Since owner is from Hyderabad India, I would love to see Indian burgers' options more so in the meat category, shami burger, chapli burger, Seekh Brger, Nargisi Burgers, Chicken Maharaha burgers and on and on it goes. Washrooms are very clean and staff ensures quality is always up to the standard. The prayer room is really helpful for Muslims as well. I love the portion size as it is very filling, and satisfies me as well. I would encourage you to make your fries more more crispy. Please please please continue to maintain the quality of food and atmosphere offered at the Eat Alleys. May ALLAAH give you barakah. Ameen.“

“Great Halal place to dine a delicious and fresh meat with rice. We tried Beef stew and Chicken with pasta. Liked soup and juices served before food.
Owner and staff are very humble and their great hospitality reminded us of Gulf countries.
Food was great in taste with enough serving. Would come again and highly recommend

I tried Biryani from Biryani Box today and was quite disappointed. The flavor was bland, and the overall taste didn’t live up to expectations. Definitely not as authentic or aromatic as a good biryani should be.
It was good portion. Staff was pleasant and friendly.“

“I always have the pleasure of dealing with Debbie, who is bubbly, kind, and and wears a sincere smile which adds to the welcoming atmosphere of this sparkling and clean establishment. I've never had a bad meal, and am always met with the utmost respect. Sometimes my orders can be large, and very particular, which at times I'm sure can be taxing, (especially if they're busy) but no matter the request I am presented with an attention to detail, that you can scarcely find in any dine in restaurant, let alone fast food.Come for the food, and return for the service, you won't regret it.~~ Chris“

“You will have to admit, you're getting a great mix of Egyptian and Greek flavors here. Deserves the lengthy review. I believe the owners are a family, in operation for about 2 years and you can really tell from their warm conversations that love goes into the food. The attention is not just a great service experience but a natural feeling of the intention they pour into what is hard work and quality food. Don’t know if it’s fair to say “service” or “atmosphere” or if it should just be called “the passion” expressing itself but you feel the hard work and enjoy the food more. The atmosphere was beyond any expectations as a result. Overall, the experience feels very genuine, making this my favorite place to eat in Edmonton right now. I am compelled by my first time here to highly recommend Pharaohs Restaurant—it’s a must-try.
The menu is small but well-chosen, all of what you would expect and want to eat in the genre of three cuisines, so everything is made just right. We ordered the platter for 2-3 people, but honestly, it’s enough for three. They did warn us and explained everything clearly, that you’ll want to save room for dessert. We were too full to enjoy dessert properly because each dish was so good—you’ll want to savor each one! Still, that just means you'll have to come back and try more and fit dessert. The Italian is woven in and fantastic! It’s a true fusion that stays true to its roots, without sacrificing authenticity. I’ve had good Greek food and homemade Egyptian dishes before, but I didn’t expect them to blend together so seamlessly. This is not Michelin Star but not your everyday home cooking either.
I know I have hyped it up and I clearly enjoyed it but it deserves this level of extended review even just for the next aspect I want to highlight. The cozy, authentic vibe is hard to find after the pandemic changed how many restaurants operate, but this one really stands out as what I only now innately remember was an excellent dine in experience pre-pandemic. Almost would not mind being stuck anymore on Gateway and Calgary Trail knowing I can just eat dinner here! The options in this part of town have not disappointed and many deserve a visit - but this one most of all.
