Support this Edmonton gem. The place is a vibe and Chicos makes you want to follow the footy as close as they do.Support them and help them bring back the ever delicious bakery.
Nice little Bakery, if you aren't familiar with Portuguese food I would suggest trying a bifana (Pork sandwich)
Very delicious pastry and different buns and corn bread. One of the young staff not very friendly
Really Great Service!! Latte and Sandwiches are Delicious and my Favourite Fresh Home Baked Portuguese Tarts. ?
I had lunch, bought a Cubano panini and beer. The place is very nice, you can watch live soccer, they have 3 televisions. The food is pretty tasty, there is a full menu and they have Saturdays Portuguese special. The ratio quality / price is reasonable. They are very polite. If you have a sweet tooth. They have a lot of patisseries and they offer fresh coffee.
The bread is good, very good, BUT the staff are : racist, entitled, and rude. They do not help people of colour and actually ignore the whole line to avoid doing so. The owner is a grumpy old lady who’s rude to everyone. Unless they happen to speak Portuguese. All smiles then! They also love to block the side walk beside the building with their delivery van all day, making it impossible for wheel chairs and strollers to travel. I’ve generally said nothing but after being a pet of the community for over 20 years, enough. Treat customers and our community with respect please. Next time I see racist behaviour from staff I’ll be speaking up in the store. It’s incredibly uncomfortable for those experiencing it and those having to watch.
Their delivery truck sped through active crosswalk with pedestrians trying to cross less than a block from a visible crowd at a pancake fundraiser in the street. (July 16, 2022. Truck was delivering to Local Ominvore)Incredibly unprofessional. Don't waste money on these clowns
Portuguese delicacies! Reasonably priced.
Dropped in here and sweet and pleasant lil lady helped us. We arrived later in day yet they still had a good selection of baked goods. They make a kick @$$ hot chocolate too! Will definitely be returning ?
Like the other reviewers say - this is the best Portugese bakery in Edmonton. We like to go in and grab macchiato and egg tarts with a selection of random bakery goodness. There's a slight language barrier in my experience, but the universal language of pointing, nodding, please and thank you always gets the job done.

Their brown bread is approximately the same as the 60% whole wheat that I bought at the big box operation when big box discontinued that offering. Their friendly staff has gotten to know me over the time I have dealt with them.
Gotta arrive early for the buns but there is usually a good selection of baked goods in case you don't make it until the afternoon
Love the aroma love the people the ladies there have always been a pleasure to deal with and the baked goods are amazing
Personally was never inside, but looked like a thriving place, parking is on the street with some on the side, place smelled great, maybe some day I'll go for some bread
Well this place seems alright, they don't treat you as a second rate citizen like the place across the street.Food is costly and small, but good.Perhaps I will return.
