I was initially drawn to this small business by its marketing and beautiful cake designs, so I decided to order a cake for a special occasion. While the cake itself was okay, I found it a bit stodgy, and the icing wasn’t to my liking. Given the $200 price tag, I expected a bit more in terms of quality and overall experience.
Unfortunately, the customer service left a lot to be desired. Communication was minimal and not very friendly, and when we arrived to pick up the cake, we were met with a curt “Here’s the cake” rather than any warm interaction. Additionally, the final design didn’t fully match the reference image I was given, as a key decoration element was missing.
For the price, I expected a more positive experience both in product and service. While the cake was decent, I wouldn’t personally order again due to the overall lack of friendliness and attention to detail.

On recommendation of a friend I ordered a custom cake for my son’s birthday party. I was very happy with the communication and order process, it was very simple. She has plenty of choices and options available to customize your cake. She was even able to accommodate a change after I placed the order. I was thrilled with the final product! The cake was the centrepiece of the party and it was delicious too. I was also pleased with how it was packaged so securely for transporting and refrigeration. I would absolutely be a repeat customer and would recommend Happy Cakes!

All my questions were answered quickly and I was ready to confirm the order in no time. Payment was sent through the e-transfer and my cake was ready on the discussed day.
