The first red flag was showing up at 5:30pm and the restaurant was empty. We probably should have turned around and went elsewhere. The food was disappointing. My husband's $46 medium rare steak was served well done. Not a sliver of pink to be seen. The waitress was apologetic and returned the steak for a new one. But while my husband waited for his meal, the rest of us finished eating ours. So he sat there, watching us eat. I did give him some of my food, but honestly there wasn't much to share. When his steak did arrive, the rest of us were done eating. And his second steak was of poor quality and flavor. It was however, cooked properly. My son's fish and chips were not good. The batter was golden and crispy, but under the layer of crunch, was a thick wet batter that tasted like baking soda. The fries were good. The crumb coating on my chicken schnitzel was black. Is it supposed to be burnt? I wasn't sure, but it was the first thing that I noticed about my meal. My daughter said that her burger and fries were good. So at least one meal wasn't disappointing. Hart's, I recommend that you taste the food that you are serving to your customers. Taste the steak and battered fish and ask yourself if the quality, flavor, and presentation is worth $30-50/plate. For that price, I will go elsewhere.

Great service and atmosphere! The staff was very accommodating and attentive. The food was creative and tasty. I liked the zero proof cocktail options and the grilled cheese was very yummy. The only area for improvement is the desserts - the chocolate cake is heavy and dry. Not worth the cost or calories. But I’ll be back to try other menu items!

Harts used to be one of my favourite places to eat. Well NO MORE!! We had a soggy salad, tasteless chicken lettuce wraps and flat Diet Pepsi. The pleather on the bench seat of the booth looked like Edward Scissor Hands had had his way with it. Every time I moved I felt the torn pleather snag my slacks. I think it’s time to invest some money into the furniture! There are way too many restaurants to ever go back there.

We had such a great time at Hart’s this past Wednesday! We have not been to this restaurant in years but Leo Martinez music made us stop in for the night. The staff was fabulous, as was the atmosphere, food, drinks and music! We will definitely be back again very soon! Thanks Hart’s for the

Took my husband to Hart's for his 60th birthday on a Wed night. Found out there was live music by Leo Martinez, awesome singer. Then discovered wine was 1/2 price on Wed nights, another bonus !! And to top the night off, Kara, our waitress, brought my husband a surprise piece of birthday cake with candles. . . It was a great night. Thank you Kara

Got seated down right away, and then forgotten about for 25min .. how busy could a Wednesday @ 5pm be. Hopefully they fix their service

Good food. Inefficient service. Hire extra waitress/waiter. The waitress forgot one component of the menu. For a small amount of food and ridiculous price, serve it efficiently. Hire extra help if you have to.

The steak benny was delicious. Eggs were cooked perfectly (soft) and the hollandaise sauce was tasty. House made chips n dip were pretty good too. Only issue I had with this restaurant were the prices are A tad high for what you get.
