The food here is high quality and consistent and good value for the price. Best breakfast place hands down in North West Edmonton. It is a smaller shop so it can get loud if at capacity. Great coffee. Consistently friendly and good service. Mitch is a fabulous Host and keeps things running efficiently. I cant wait to try out the 124 St and St. Albert locations.

Went on a weekend.

The food was good, the service was good.

It was hot/humid like a Toronto summer in the restaurant and it was as noisy as a Metallica concert.

I'd go again but maybe when it's less busy or when I am wearing some ear protection.

I loved my visit at Hathaway’s Diner so much I visited twice within my 5 day visit to Edmonton from the east coast. The breakfast was delicious, the pies are incredible but the service and atmosphere made it so much more for us. You can tell this is a proudly ran family business. The servers took the time to engage in genuine conversation with us, and even helped me out with some rubber bands when my hair clip snapped mid-meal. The type of place that made me thankful for kind, genuine human interaction ❤️

Ordered via Uber Eats. Insanely overpriced for a subpar eggs benedict and tiniest serving of soggy hashbrowns. Also requested utensils in the order (using the option to do so on Uber Eats), and did not receive any utensils. Didn’t even include a single packet of ketchup or napkins.

Way too overpriced. Spent $29 on a chicken burger and an iced tea. Lame. Was okay but not worth the price. Didn't leave much of a tip.

In Edmonton, for the day, and we had to try this diner out. The food was good and the service was excellent. Try the gravy it was phenomenal. Was not very busy when we visited, but it is a smaller parking lot, so parking could be tough at their busy times.

Food was good. Service was slow. Servers did not tell us the specials. And spent more time gossiping. Price was decent

A great local diner. It was very popular locally judging from the traffic inside. It's a little noisy because of the size .
The food was excellent. I had liver and onions, a diner staple .

My husband and I came here today with two friend's to celebrate his birthday. Our morning got off to an auspicious start when our waitress tried to guess his age. She said 52. He's 82. From there, everything took off like a rocket.

Our two friends played spin the table. One ordered classic eggs benny while the other ordered a Rueben sandwich. Both were excellent. Their shared meal gave a whole new meaning to the word brunch.

I had steak and eggs, done to perfection. Medium rare. Poached and runny. The homemade hashbrown's were excellent and I substituted a fruit cup instead of toast. Didn't need the extra starch. And no problems with the substitution, like in some restaurants. And by the way, the potato's came with French's ketchup (Yeah!!!!!) served in little paper cups. That's just like they used to do at the lunch counter at the downtown Woodward's store in the 1960s.

My husband had a philly cheese steak sandwich with a side salad. I friend of mine once said that you can always judge a restaurant by how they do the simplest things, like how they do a side salad or a fruit cup for that matter. Both were excellent. As was the sandwich.

They gave my husband a free piece of pie because it was his birthday. He chose pineapple pistachio. It's what I call a summer pie, a graham wafer crumb crust filled with a parfait or cream filling. I don't have much luck making pies like this. I can never get the bottom and side crusts to be the same thickness. But this pie was excellent. It was light and airy. Melts in your mouth. A whole pie would cost you $36.00 plus tax. A steal!

The decor is very retro but what caught my eye were several photos at the back of the restaurant. Several were of boxers including Mohammed Ali. One was of a couple walking down the street. They looked like French actors from the 1960s. So cool. Another was of a couple in the back seat of a car. They reminded me of Hollywood royalty circa the 1940s.

And lastly . . . our waitress was the BEST!

A totally memorable dining experience. I highly recommend Hathaway's Diner.
