Cheese buns were average , doughnuts ( raspberry ) , powdered sugar custard -average , the glazed was maybe just above average . The much prized fritter was just above average , not worth the drive and wait outside . Not a Negitive review by any means just not confirming the “ best fritter in town “ .
As far as the fritter search , Sherwood park bakery still way above in quality and calmer bakery is number 2 . I put this as a solid number 3 fritter only .

I’m so sad to have discovered this place so late! Unfortunately, this neighbourhood staple is being sold and it’s unknown if it will remain a bakery with new ownership. Until it’s gone, I will visit as often as possible to pick up their famous apple fritters and sausage rolls!! Other items I’ve tried and absolutely love is their carrot cake, banana bread, whole grain bread, custard doughnut and brownies. Super friendly staff who work very hard to keep the long line ups moving! There is no seating…just pick up and go. Definitely check this place out while you still can! I would’ve included pictures but I devour everything before I even consider taking pics…

Hazeldean Bakery is such a gem! Everything is so yummy, so fresh, and so good — you can truly taste the love in every bite. If you get your hands on these apple fritters (before they sell out!) you won’t want to share! I love the absolutely huge pieces of apple in them along with that light layer of apple sauce, top it off with the perfect doughy-ness. These are divine! And worth waiting in line for, which I heard is a regular occurrence each morning. Also tried the raspberry scone and the raspberry cream cheese danish. Both amazing and well liked all around baked goodies

You may heard that this place will be changing hands in the near future so get out there and try their donuts and sausage rolls before you can’t anymore. If you’re going on Saturday make sure to arrive early as the line starts before they open and sweets sell out fast because they’re delicious. The apple fritters are HUGE and even have apple filling inside mmmmmmm they’re a perfect fall dessert!!! The sausage rolls are light and flaky plus the sausage flavour is on point!!! Try this place as soon as you can 🥰
