Waited in line with excited patrons in the morning . High expectations due to conversation and reviews . Cheese buns were average , doughnuts ( raspberry ) , powdered sugar custard -average , the glazed was maybe just above average . The much prized fritter was just above average , not worth the drive and wait outside . Not a Negitive review by any means just not confirming the “ best fritter in town “ .

I’m so sad to have discovered this place so late! Unfortunately, this neighbourhood staple is being sold and it’s unknown if it will remain a bakery with new ownership. Until it’s gone, I will visit as often as possible to pick up their famous apple fritters and sausage rolls!! Other items I’ve tried and absolutely love is their carrot cake, banana bread, whole grain bread, custard doughnut and brownies. Super friendly staff who work very hard to keep the long line ups...

Hazeldean Bakery is such a gem! Everything is so yummy, so fresh, and so good — you can truly taste the love in every bite. The staff are absolutely amazing — always friendly, welcoming, and full of smiles. It’s the kind of place that instantly brightens your day. Highly recommend stopping by for a treat (or two)! 🥐🍰💛 Alway a must stop when I’m in the area!!
