During the winter season, I drove to this bar every week for a 10ML hot sake to finish my day, it's a such cozy place!

Horrible Ubereats experience. Ordered food, confirm order after 10 minutes. Then proceed to change ready time twice and ended up canceling my order.
Ordered 3 drinks, two of which the bartender didn’t know how to make ?♂️. Not the bartenders fault. You see all these wicked drinks on social media and management drops the ball on either scheduling the correct staff or their training. No wonder they’re closing. If you’ve been on the fence about trying this place out, consider your chance missed, the ship has sailed. Side note - ordered 3 food items, they were out of one. No surprise since they’re closing.

It's alright. Set out like a café, but charging nightclub pricing. Not really worth it.

It was a cool place to check out, I love Japanese whiskey and Shake so I had to try this place, they had technical difficulties in the kitchen so I can't really tell if the food was good because I didn't have any, the ladies behind the bar seemed like they were new and was still learning how to make some of the cocktails but I give them A+ for effort, they did not do too bad and the drinks they made even if they had to look up the recipe for them was pretty good.

It’s a cute small place, so naturally we expected better, more personal service. The entire night the servers were avoidant and were not the least bit welcoming or hospitable. I waited an hour for the server to take my drink order (just a water), and it never came. I ended up drinking my friends water because I didn’t see a server for half an hour. Despite the main server asking us our names and to repeat our orders several times throughout the night and writing in her notebook, many items came out wrong, served to the wrong person, served very late (some waiting over an hour for their food), and some orders were missed completely. I ordered katsu chicken (waited about an hour) and fries which was good but definitely not worth $35. After about 3 hours we asked for our bills. I did not leave for another hour as we were rudely told that the server was figuring out our bills, which then came out wrong and had to be fixed twice. Shocking as the server was taking notes all night like I mentioned. They did not check on us or ask how our food/drinks were, and were annoyed when they would approach our table finally and we asked for things we needed (napkins, more water, they didn’t bring a knife to cut our cake, then they dropped off a knife and plates, and took a while to get cutlery when we asked for some so we could actually eat)I would consider returning to try the drinks as they looked good, but only if there were staff who cared and weren’t clearly annoyed with doing the bare minimum as a server.
Great place to visit. Everything was amazing, but the staff made it even better (shoutout to our waitress, Jessie, for that one). I highly recommend visiting here if you can.

Very interesting izakaya! The interior is narrow like in Tokyo, and the lights are dim. I really like the atmosphere of the place as it does remind me of Japan! The food is quite delicious, and the same as well can be enjoyed in a very fun way - you can take shots of the sake by doing a sake bomb (hitting the table to make the sake glass fall into another glass from the top of chopsticks)! My only wish is that I wish there was a wider variety of menu items.

I have been twice and the first time, a year ago, was an excellent experience. Great food, service and great drinks. But when I went last night with my boyfriend to celebrate his 30th it was lack luster for both of us.We sat at the bar and it felt like all the servers were new. Which there is nothing wrong with other than the fact it felt like they were trying to ignore us. It is a very busy location, despite it's quaint size, so I don't expect to be waited on the entire time. But I do expect a bit of hospitality which I do not think we received at all. No one was rude, just disengaged/distracted.The drinks didn't feel special, the plum sake bomb didn't have the gummy bears in it like the first time which was disappointing. The food was tasty but also felt flat and not worth the price.Overall we enjoyed ourselves enough...but not enough to be back I think. Worth trying once if you have the money to spend.
Servers were really nice, loved the music, interior was impressive, sat here more than couple hours easily. The whole vibe made us comfortable.Definitely will come back, it just became one of the nicest time we spent in Edmonton.
A fantastic place to visit with friends. The atmosphere, prices, and drinks were great, but the staff was the best part of the experience. For example, our waitress, Jessie, was the highlight of the night. I recommend coming for a drink here if you can
Looking at other reviews on here and seeing the timeline maybe I should have come here a couple of months ago. The servers when we arrived were nice and courteous and certainly were the best part of this location. The drinks were ok but at the price point we're certainly not worth it. The food overall was a giant let down when we ordered the jumbo potat Theresa's barely no Japanese gravy on the massive portion so 90% of the fries were just fries, when we asked for an extra size of gravy to remedy this they obliged but the gray was extremely watered down to the point that it had no flavor, the sukiyaki hot dog was below average, the unagi eel bowl made my friend feel sick after eating, and the takoyaki were all a big mush mess in the bowl. We sat next to the kitchen and heard the microwave going on and off every every 2 mins which was not a good sign off the hop. The appetizers which we ordered with our drinks and asked to come out first came out about 40 mins later after people at the table got their mains, we had to ask the server if they forgot about the fries as it took so long. The edible bubbles listed in the drink menu disappeared the moment they hit our drink so the novelty aspect that we paid for was preety much gone and didn't look anything like they had made up on their Instagram account, which was the whole reason we came here. If you are looking for a nice cozy location with a group of friends and cost isn't an object to have some decent drinks then to head out on the town this is definetly the place, but I would steer clear from the food as overall spending 120$+ for 3 drinks an appetizer, takoyaki and a heated up sausage dog in in some rice and smothered in ultra sweet teriyaki sauce was definetly not worth it.
