my favourite (and the only place i've tried) jerk chicken in town! consistent quality food and good quality fries (a lot of fries taste bad to me, but this place is different for some reason)
my only complaints and reason for giving 4/5 stars are the service. i usually order through doordash and i've tried ordering a sandwich without toppings and they've messed that up at least once or twice, and they've somehow also forgotten at least three of my smoothies.
that being said, i'd still recommend this place. one of my favourite go-to places to eat

Food was amazing, I've tried a few of the menu items and they all blow me away. My favorite is their crispy fish and chips, with the perfect fries and the most creamy, ever so slightly tangy coleslaw. To mention, their jerk marinade is a staple in my house! My one complaint is as a bigger bodied person their booths are much to small to fit my bottom, requiring me to sit in the chairs.

The Jerk chicken was to kill for. It was kind to me reminded me life was worth living and also inspired me to get back to work because rent was not going to pay itself. All I can say is yes yes yes yes. Go with a friend good things shouldn’t be enjoyed alone. Don’t mind my picture not an artist.

This family owned business is a gem downtown. The jerk chicken, pulled pork wrap, and Reuben sandwich are phenomenal. My only constructive feedback is that it was distasteful to see a Shade’s Gentleman’s club advertisement in the café.
Wow the choice of colours and settings was vivid it’s impressive; I got a taste of the highland it was tasty and fresh 🤯🤌🏽

I moved to Edmonton from Toronto and was looking for a good Jamaican spot to have some authentic food. I tried food from other Jamaican restaurants that just wasn’t cutting it, however, Island Vybes has been my go to. They have good customer service and the wait time is minimal. The meals are always consistent and have good flavour. I usually order the jerk chick meal, which is a bit pricey compared to Toronto. My one gripe is that there is too much sauce poured over the chicken and rice, and it’s a bit too spicy for me, but I bare it cause it taste good.
Decided to try this based on reviews, did a pickup of the large Jerk Chicken platter and the jerk chicken sandwich, plus a beef patty.
Plus: - It was ready fairly quickly - Jerk flavour was good, although a little different from others we've had
Cons: - Rice & peas and the coleslaw were both quite bland, nothing special - Caesar salad (side for the sandwich) wasn't anything special, but I wasn't expecting much there. - Beef patty didn't have much for filling
The jerk chicken on the platter was good, but not WOW. Sandwich was above-average (pretty messy) - the aioli added to it nicely.
Otherwise nothing that makes us want to go back. Maybe our expectations were too high, but reading the rave reviews it was hard not to be disappointed.
