Tried the halawet aljeben from this store (first photo) and was very disappointed. The pieces are extremely large, so just a few pieces weigh over a kilo so force you to buy more than you actually want. They also use roasted green peas instead of real pistachios.

For comparison, the second photo is from another sweet shop, normal-sized pieces made properly with REAL pistachios.

On top of that, the staff never smile and act like they hate what they’re doing.

Never coming back.

Last 4 times I’ve called to check if they have certain sweets, and all 4 times they didn’t answer. They have some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced

Honestly the best Arab sweets I’ve ever had. Everything tastes so fresh and homemade, and the workers were so kind and respectful. Such a good vibe overall. Definitely would recommend!

Everything here is delicious, I come at least once a week and load up to share with my daughter. Everything is fresh and tastes amazing, I don’t know the names of most things but the Nutella filled dessert things are crazy good. Also the dipped cookies are so addictive. I wish the prices were lower, but I’m happy to pay them to support a family owned small business

I have lost all faith in this business. From day one i supported and sent this small business alot of customers. I went in on Wednesday june 4 2025. Bought 7kg of namoora and 2 kg of baklava. The girl working looks like she would rather be doing anything in the world other than serve sweets. The quality has absolutely gone downhill. Ive noticed the quality slowly worsening. Unfortunately they have hit rock bottom. They have moved away from what made them succesful. Your customers have lost faith in you and your business. I highly recommend anywhere else in the city but this place
