Decent food been going there from day one but recently noticed the girl working the front was putting in a tip automatically when you pay it’s supposed to prompt you and ask if you want to tip and how much but when she is working there is no option she puts in a tip percent she wants be careful and pay attention to this she scammed me three times just unacceptable if it doesn’t give you an option to tip and just a price she picked the tip.. I even called her out on it and she acted oblivious and wouldn’t redo the charges so I’m not going back after decades of being a customer so petty

Honestly, my experience here was so bad. I ordered my food through DoorDash and they didn’t have what I ordered so they sent me an email. I called them. Nobody answered to this day. They still have my money and I never got my food. and I never got my refund. I got two patties and one chicken stew and they didn’t have the patties and within the five minutes I ordered the food I canceled it because they didn’t have the patties. They emailed me saying they’re gonna e-transfers me eight dollars for patties when I paid $35 for the whole meal and I called DoorDash they said to call them and go pick up my food because DoorDash gave me back the delivery and service fee, but Ari foods never gave me back my money and they have yet to still answer their phone when I call them it doesn’t go thru anymore they’ve blocked my number I’m very mad about this

I've had a good experience in person. However, this review is more focused on the take out experience. Specifically when I ordered through doordash.

The Jerk Chicken is good. However, I found the dumplings to taste extremely bland. I grew up going to Irie foods, but I feel like over the years, the quality of the food is different as to how I remember it to be. Still a pleasant experience, but wasn't a fan of the dumplings

Traveling over the years and trying different Jamaican/Caribbean foods, I must say this was one of the best I've ever tasted.
Big up to the chef. Fast, friendly, and efficient service. If you're someone who eats a lot, large means large at this restaurant. A box of large can feed two. I would definitely recommend.

Jerk chicken is still as good as it used to be growing up. Best jerk chicken in the South Side of Edmonton. I always come thru here when I’m passing by the neighbourhood. Highly recommend!
