The older lady got my order wrong, which I didn’t mind at first. I ordered the original tteokbokki with cheese, but they rang in the rose version instead. I also asked for it to be takeout, but it was made for dine-in.
When I mentioned the mix-up, the younger woman told me I should check my order next time, and she kept telling the older staff member in Korean to apologize to me. The whole interaction felt really awkward to witness, and being told to “check next time” felt disrespectful when it wasn’t my mistake.
Overall, the experience left a bad impression, and I don’t think I’d come back.

My husband got the bugolgi dog, I got the half and half corn dog and we shared the rose tteobokki.
The food was amazing!! We both loved it so much and they have these delicious little drinks in clear cans
They played good music and the food came out not long after we ordered.
The lady who took our order was extremely sweet too

I took my daughter and her friends to get some food and we ended up waiting 40 minutes for their order, spending $50. Every time they asked how long it would take, the staff kept saying “two minutes” over and over. After 35 minutes, I went inside to ask what was going on. The lady asked for my name, but I told her it was for my daughter who had been waiting all that time. She said it would be another 7 minutes and blamed it on being busy. When I asked if they told the teenagers about the long wait, she said no. I asked if they were going to offer a discount to them for the wait, and she said no. I was really disappointed with how they handled the situation, especially since these were teenagers and their time was clearly disregarded. Waiting this long without any communication or compensation is unacceptable. I’m leaving this review because this experience was far from okay.

Came with a group and bought different options of their fried chicken. Good food, good service and friendly staff. Ambience is pretty nice too. Food took a bit of time to come out but considering how busy it was, that's understandable.

man's top notch, only food reviewer i trust in Edmonton.
This is my favourite Korean chicken and kimbop place in Edmonton. I've lived in South Korea and crave this kind of food and it can be hard to find. I can walk to this place and it's open late. Always friendly staff. Try the K popcorn chicken with spicy chili sauce. Or the spicy pork kimbop. Unbeatable and fairly cheap.
Oh yeah, the fries are great too.

I have been here several times and look forward to my next visit. The Corn dogs are always fantastic and for such a good price! However, today i made a grave mistake. I ordered something different from my usual. Normally i order the classic corndog but today i felt like stepping outside of my comfort zone and am a paying a drastic price. Today i ordered the half and half corn dog. How was the experience? You ask. Overall a solid 2.5/5 the issue is quite simple. There is absolutely no way that the cheese to meat ratio is truly 50/50 so much cheese! So little dog! On top of this, the cheese and hotdog are positioned in a way that absolutely baffled me. The first 65% of the hotdog was entirely cheese and the rest was dog. I truly feel like the dog and cheese should be positioned side by side so they can be enjoyed together with every bite. Overall great experience the serving staff were exceptional and patient and i will definitely return. Looking forward for my issues to be addressed.

I just discovered this page, and I've been laughing nonstop for the last hour. Great stuff! I do appreciate the butter chicken reviews, and as a Canadian with Indian parents, will be trying out some or all of your highly-rated spots. Keep up the great work!

Honest reviews. Not scared to give a poor review despite the awkwardness !
Hilarious. Honest. A journey into another first gen Canadians life growing up in Edmonton - many experiences unique, and even more, familiar. Stories told through food - part of the familiarity. Penith jokes and shidding jokes - unfamiliar. Nonetheless, love every single review I read.
How to describe taste with the words? With memories, wit, nostalgia and a deep understanding of the space brown people occupy in a white world
Goodness knows what happened there 😳
Best Korean fried chicken in the city! You know because all the Koreans at the university come here after classes
EDIT: It's 2025, years after I first discovered this gem and this place still has the best fried chicken in the city
