I got the kimchi udon dinner special ($16). It uses the same carbonara sauce, and adding kimchi is nice to give it some spice and acidity to cut the creaminess of the sauce. The portion was very filling. Service is great, they give you a free tofu cheese pudding or coffee jelly dessert if it is your birthday. They even write happy birthday in chocolate on the plate and add a sparkler. There is automatic gradituty added for large groups, and the server was nice to remind us that so we didn't unknowingly tip again on the card machine.

Food is mid. Westernized version of Japanese food. If you’re looking for authentic Japanese food, this is not the place you’re looking for

Tired out of my mind and Zachary(?) our waiter for the evening, was absolutely phenomenal. His engagement was wonderful and he managed to bring the atmosphere up in an instant. His enthusiasm was infectious, and the way he engaged with the other patrons was heartwarming, the younger ones at the table next to us were absolutely loving his engagement and laughing at his jokes that he took the time to make with them wile still fulfilling to his duties as our server.
5/5 stars, amazing!

Hi! This is a long review since I have lots of time to share my thoughts with this restaurant. The food is good, I have no issues with that at all. So basically, this review is just to say to the management to hire servers who don’t gossip, stare a lot, and doesnt give us attitude by dragging a chair loudly behind our back, just to sarcastically say sorry then rush away. Please improve your customer service. The customer service at Dorinku Osaka was way better than this.
This place has been my go-to if I want to hang out with friends, but today, I met a rude server (or maybe servers??) in this place. We asked if we could move to a different side since the spot they placed wasn't great, We asked KINDLY if we could transfer seats and if there’s any availability on the other side, since we like the vibe there. This guy was our server, and he also works at the bar. He told the 2-3 servers about our request, and THEY GAVE US STARES. At first, we did not mind it because we know they were talking about our request. The girl who works at the front to greet people first offered us the middle area, but we would like to be in the corner or by the window. We just declined and told them that we can stay in front of the bar area. But when we saw the available corner on that side, we asked them again if we could transfer seats, knowing that the table was empty. The server told that to other servers, and they kept eyeing us with dirty/annoyed looks after that. We did not have a good time because of that. My boyfriend and I’s mood before we got our food was uncomfortable because of how we felt with these servers. Even while waiting for our server to give us the bill, the girl who was working at the front was fixing the chairs behind us hurriedly and pushed the chair loudly (the wooden chairs are heavier), making a weird screeching noise behind us. She just said “SAWRY” with a sarcastic, bratty tone, with her back turned against us. Is this really how you guys hire people now? This is very disappointing. I couldn’t believe that the asian guy from the bar, who has a tattoo on his right arm, and the asian girl who works at the front with the wings tattooed on her back and braces would ruin our experience here. Servers should be accommodating and advocating to customers, not be rude and gossip while annoyingly staring at us as if we couldn't see them. We weren’t even being rude to them; we simply and kindly asked if we could move to a different spot. It was not even busy when we asked for that request.

Zach was one of the best servers I've ever had! He is so friendly and charismatic and we will be sitting in his section every time we come here, and we will be back! The Kimchi Udon was delicious and so was the Carbonara Udon. The Scallop pressed sushi and the Salmon pressed sushi were perfect too! Im a big fan of Dorinku Tokyo! Make sure you come here! (Forgot to take photos of the food as I just wanted to inhale it all)

Great meal! Zachary was a great server! We had a great experience
Service was amazing and the pressed sushi (go for the Tokyo bridge) and sake was delicious. We didn’t love the Caesar but everything else was awesome. Place could use a little updating and maybe a more skilled window cleaner but we were very happy with our visit. I will definitely return if given the chance.

Food was wonderful, extremely tasty and well made. Staff were very helpful and cheery. Unfortunately it was very noisy and there weren't many quiet spots if at all. Wonderful decor, had a lovely rustic and stylish vibe to the place.

Service was great! Ordered the ramen that had black garlic in it and the Tokyo Sushi Bridge - for 2 people, we were supeeer full and got our money’s worth. However, if we had some feedback, we did find the ramen a little salty, and the some of the sushi, while super delicious, was hard to eat as it fell apart. Otherwise, everything was still good and hope to come back.

Absolutely great food here. Super fast service with friendly attentive staff. And not expensive. I was thinking about the food all week and just had to come back last night for dinner again. Already planning what I'm going to order next week.
