Extremely disappointed with communication and not clear posting/warning when purchasing tickets online. No face paint allowed on Halloween? I witnessed multiple women being turned away after spending hours on their make up only to be told To wash it off or go home? You guys really should have made that CLEAR ONLINE when purchasing tickets. I ubered down there just to be turned away. I won’t be back and I feel very sorry for the young ladies I watched have to wash of their make up. I understand for safety reasons masks might not be allowed but your face paint rule is bogus. You guys need to plan and organize better what a waste of my Halloween. I would have just gone to deadmonton!
I wish I could say something good about this restaurant. The pulled pork sandwich was small, unimpressive, and somehow boring. The truffle fries were weirdly flavoured. The nachos had queso instead of baked cheese, and lacked hot peppers. My son ordered gravy for his fries; it arrived at the table cold and had a skin on it. The coffee was very stale. And lastly, why in the heck can't you add poutine as a side to your sandwich, when you actually have poutine on the menu?!

I recently had a special day with my two adult children and six month grandchild and we chose to go to fort edmonton. Needless to say we left without seeing half the park. I contacted them via email about my concerns and they blocked me without even acknowledging my message. In my mind that was extremely distasteful and made up my mind that i will never go back, nor will i recommend this place again. When a place cannot even rectify a situation it tells me there are more problems witb how it is ran. All it would of taken was acknowledging my message. Here is what i wrote to them “Good morning! My name is Lori and am out of stettler. Yesterday, which was August 17, 2024, myself, my two adult children and my six month old grandson attended the park. It is sad to say that the park was so over ridden with wasps that we couldnt see it all. We left early without going on the train, the wagon or seeing the fort. At one point my grandson had 15-20 wasps swarming him. I looked for bag traps for wasps and only saw one. And in one location on a house i saw spray. We also were met with some rude workers. The one managing the hammer strength test in the midway minimized the excitement of the visit when my son jokingly said the hammer thing was rigged. The worker replied disgusted, why would it matter it it was rigged. Did you pay for it. No then it doesnt matter. It isnt klondike days. Then following that there was a filipino man who wanted to test his strength and the worker laughed at him and said not in those. Why do u think i would let u do this wearing those shoes. We thot he was joking. But nope he made the man leave because he was wearing crocs and finished thw conversation saying what do u think we want a law suit All around the whole experience was horrible. The part of the park we wanted to see was the fort. So, I was wondering if you could either reimburse me for the three adult entries or give us three more adult entries, so we can go to the fort when the wasps are under control Thanks for your attention to this matter. I really appreciate it” I give zero stars all the way around
This was such a wonderful experience. My friends and I were pleasantly surprised by the brunch here. Many amazing options, all delicious and of course includes park admission.
The service was outstanding. Great servers, very polite and considerate.

Great spot for brunch. Staff was friendly and quick. Self serve brunch was reasonably priced and included park admission when purchased before entry. The food was surprisingly good and varied.
Wheelchair accessibility: The hotel has a side door with a ramp that leads straight into the dining room. The tables are arranged with enough room between them that it is easy to navigate with a wheelchair.

Ridiculously long waits at every turn.First showed up at the tail end of the lunch rush. Host said there were no tables and to come back in 15 mins? Okay but he didnt ask for a name to jot down or anything... not without prompting. So we take a lap and come back in 15mins. Its still another 20mins before we are seated.40mins later and no one has even taken our drink orders. Took flagging down staff no less than 3 times in order to make it happen. Would've left at that point, but theres not a lot of options here so we stick it out. Put in our drink and food order all at once.Drinks consisted of 2 iced teas, 1 beer, and waters all around. Took 10mins to get the iced teas. They were lukewarm. No ice. Beer needed a few more mins to swap out the keg. Another 15 mins and it hasnt been done. Switch to a different beer? Fine. Asked for water again. That comes out with the new beer. Back to waiting. The people who arrived an hour after us are already eating. The kids are going insane. Theres barely anyone else here since everyone has gotten food and left. Finally our food arrives. Of course, we didnt have cutlery and that was another 5 mins of waiting.Arrival was at 12:30. We left at 2:45, with most of our food in take out containers.Awful experience. Wasted a huge chunk out of our park day.
I didn't quite know what to expect of this place but I was really surprised by the quality of the Fort Burger. So many places nowadays overdo their burger patties to the point of where they are charred and dry. At Johnson's I got a perfect, juicy burger that was done just the way I like. The server was also very attentive and pleasant.

Poorly managed; staff lack training. After being seated we waited 15 minutes for a menu, then another 10 minutes to take our order. A couple who came in 15 minutes after us received menus right away, order taken in 5 minutes and food brought out 10 minutes after that - we were still waiting to have our order taken. People at the next table waited 40 minutes to order and a family behind us waited even longer. Give menus at time of seating; take food order in order of arrival - not rocket science, just good customer service. Food was quite good.
Great way to spend a Saturday. Buffets used to include admission into fort Edmonton park but I think that changed this year 2023.

Weekend brunch is a treat!
Vegetarian options: Traditional options including fruit, pancakes, potatoes, and eggs - also an extensive salad and dessert bar.
Kid-friendliness: Many kids love to choose for themselves - multiple yogurt flavours and pancake toppings.

Surprisingly delightful. I don't expect a lot from food service at local attractions, but we were pleasantly surprised. Prices were on par with local restaurants, and food quality was as good as any restaurant in the city. The service was also *excellent*. I would highly recommend having a bite here on your visit to Forr Edmonton Park.
Great food! Definitely a value package, you can drive into the park and park right in front of the building, this is a life saviour after a whole day’s walking. Plus the unlimited buffet is only 10 bucks. The restaurant environment and the service is nice quality.
The food we ordered was 5/5, the service we got was 5/5, the limited GF options was a 2/5. If you just added a GF bun/bread option nearly the entire menu would be GF friendly! Low hanging fruit, do it!
Great food and service
