I used to love this place, but over the past year the quality has gone down a lot. The portions are tiny for the price. And every time I order through a delivery service there is something missing. Without fail. It's really sad because it used to be so good!

Ordered take out and they told me 30 minutes. Got there on time and had to wait another 30 min. They had one waitress for the whole restaurant. If they can’t make it in the time frame they gave u then they shouldn’t give u that time line. Very disappointed with the wait. First and probably last time coming here.

The sushi was not good. better places in the city for sure.California roll had a weird amount of weird creamy sauce and it made my lactose intolerant friend REALLY sick.

I came to Kabuki Sushi & Grill South for lunch recently. The atmosphere and service were good. In terms of food, I tried their Bento Box B with chicken instead of beef and the Chopped Scallop Roll. There was quite a bit of food for the Bento: 4 big pieces of sashimi (2 salmon, 2 tuna), 2 sushi (1 salmon, 1 tuna), teriyaki chicken, assorted tempura, salad, edamame, rice, and miso soup. Everything tasted good overall: Good miso soup that was not too salty, Fresh sashimi and sushi, especially the tuna, Nicely grilled chicken that went really well with the rice, Decent tempura, Nice balance of salad and edamame with the rest of the items. The chopped scallop roll was pretty good as well with nice chunks of scallop. Overall, the bento was better than expected and made a very full lunch, albeit more expensive than some other restaurants' bento boxes. As such, perhaps lowering the price while reducing the amount or number of items a bit may be considered...I'd give them 8.3/10

My favourite sushi restaurant in Edmonton, however I guess you need to call ahead to ensure they are open? Drove 20 minutes through horrible traffic to eat here on Wednesday only to find out it’s closed. The ‘Google’ hours said it was suppose to be open so I have no idea what happened. Really disappointing.

Wonderful staff and incredible dishes. Our go-to spot for Japanese food. Their Dynamite Roll is a must.

This restaurant serves amazing quality Japanese dishes. Their sashimi is fresh and you get a solid cut--worth the money. The blazing unagi roll was LITERALLY FIRE. On fire. We were wondering what made it "blazing" and literally lighting fire really nailed down the name. It was tasty too! The tempura was fresh and battered perfectly--it wasn't soggy or cakey. The beef tataki was flavourful though the pieces are quite small. Definitely a great place to go if you want tasty and quality sushi in Edmonton!

This place needs a total over haul.2 types of beer both Japanese.Last time i was in here was impressed.Guess a lot can happen in a year.Sitting booths disgusting, ripped chairs.Walls have drip marks...get some beach out and clean this place.Assorted sashimi large one 25 pieces just 3 different types?I eat sashimi a lot and it was not fresh.Dissatisfied you bet.

The food was absolutely delicious. I recommend the Bento Boxes, and the teriyaki chicken. There is a lot in the Bento Boxes, so it's great if you're really hungry. The service was slightly weird, as our food came one at a time, with our Bento box B coming first, then 5 mins later, the teriyaki chicken came, and then another 7 or so mins later the two bento box A's came. Other than that, the service was top notch- the server was really nice and polite.Vegetarian options: There are many vegetarian options in the menu- at least one vegetarian option per 'section'.Kid-friendliness: It is a very child friendly place- there are even seat boosters if needed I believe.Parking: There is a lot of parking in the street mall, however it is always around 70-80% occupied.Wheelchair accessibility: Very wheelchair accessible.

Decided to try this place after I wasnt able to get a table at Mikados. I chose this restuarant as the reviews were good and they were similar to solekis on whyte (my favorite place for a quick roll but it's now AYCE)I called ahead to make sure a table would be avalible. I was told yes and headed over. Upon arriving the restaurant was empty, my first bad sign.I ordered ice water, a dragon roll with sauce on the side and a spicy tuna crunch.I was served "cold water" as they had no ice? When my rolls arrived they were Mediocre at best similar to food court sushi. There was no sauce on the side and my server had not brought over wasabi or ginger. I tried to get their attention ( in an empty restaurant it shouldn't be hard) but I couldn't. eventually they came over with wasabi and apologized they had forgot, the wasabi looked as if it was plated yesterday and was quite watery from the ginger. I pointed out the sauce was not on the side and they brought some over. The dragon roll is filled with "crab" although this is stated on the menu its imitation California roll "crab"My water was left empty for quite sometime and I wrote this review (2x as a deleted it by accident) in the time it took me to get the bill.I will not be coming back here. $28 for 2 rolls and warm water isn't it. I planned on tipping as I usually do even if the service is bad, but for that price I didn't tip. Maybe one day I'll find a sushi place again
