While the atmosphere is that of a small mom and pop the food just wasn't there. I had the tonkatsu ramen and it wasn't even up to instant ramen standards. Instead of being flavourful and rich the broth was slimy and extremely bland. The noodles were few and far between and the soup was bulked out with bean sprouts. As well the pork belly was thin and dried out instead of being succulent. All in all a lower than mid level establishment considering all the really good ramen shops in town.

One of the staff was unpleasant to us. We arrived around 7:20pm and was told they are closing. We placed our order asap. The server seemed annoyed to us.

This place is amazing. Love the Ramen. Love the small family run atmosphere. Only issue is they are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and for whatever reason those are the days I tend to be on this end of town and think of going. But I can't complain everytime I do end up there on a day they are open I am super happy with the food.

We’ve been eating their ramen since Twyla Campbell reviewed it on CBC’s morning show in Oct 2015. It’s still great to this day. Best ramen in town.
My wife and I used to frequent Kazoku but it has been a while since our last visit. The owner immediately recognized us and still remembered what we usually order. I had the Tonkotsu Black and my wife had the regular Tonkotsu. Top notch customer service and the best ramen in the city. We will always be back.

First time coming here and I love it! I've been passing by this restaurant for months and my coworker also recommended for me to try the food. This was absolutely a treat and delicious. Definitely will return. Super friendly.

The ladies are the nicest people you can meet. Great selection of ramen and rice entrees. My favorite in the city. My wife and I eat there 3 to 4 times a month. The most consistent food I have eaten. Tonkatsu Black Garlic is my go to Ramen.

We really enjoyed our ramen here, the service was great too! We also enjoyed the chicken karaage with spicy mayo.
I got the gluten free ramen called White Miso, it was delicious! A bit on the bland side. I am not celiac, but am sensitive to gluten, and cannot eat wheat based noodles. I added a half egg to my ramen. While I liked the White Miso - next time I think I'll just grab a regular ramen and ask for gluten free noodles. However if you are very sensitive or are celiac, the White Miso option was nice and flavourful!
My partner got the Spicy Goma, and he enjoyed it, said it was a solid 7.5/10. I had a taste of the broth, it wasn't crazy spicy, but that's perfect to me!
