This is the second time I've ordered at this restaurant and had to wait 20 mins while dealing with rude workers. The cook also came to the front while we were waiting to get coke from the fountain and was in no rush. The first time the front worker kept me waiting while my food got cold. This time I ordered online and never got a receipt by email. Extremely disappointed in this KFC.

Review of KFC at South Gate Mall – October 7, 2025, 6:30 PM

I’m extremely disappointed and frustrated with the experience I had at the KFC location in South Gate Mall. From the moment I reached the front of the line, the cashier was blatantly rude and dismissive. She ignored my questions, smiled and engaged with the person behind me—who she clearly knew—while I stood there trying to place my order. When I spoke up and told her it was disrespectful to act like I didn’t exist just to chat with her friend, she began mumbling under her breath that “customers aren’t always right” and began carrying on in such behaviour with her hands in swinging around. I asked her to back up and step away she refused

Her coworker attempted to intervene and calm the situation, but the cashier refused to listen. Eventually, the coworker took my order instead. However, the disrespect didn’t end there. When my food was ready, it was dragged across the counter without any notice or acknowledgment. It was packed for dine-in, even though I had clearly stated it was a to-go order. When the coworker asked why the food was just sitting there, the cashier gestured toward me and said, “That’s her food,” in a dismissive tone.

At that point, I was beyond upset. This is not how anyone should be treated—especially when spending their hard-earned money on food they’re expected to consume. The behavior I witnessed was unprofessional, disrespectful, and completely unacceptable. I am requesting to speak with the district manager, store manager, or someone in charge. This incident should not be brushed aside, especially when it involves customer service and food handling.

You are not rejecting underweight chicken and still serving them to customers! I ordered a 4-piece and got a really small chicken leg that was mostly bone and small amount of meat. Please do not bread and cook underweight chicken. Reject it and only serve chicken with good weight and size especially the leg and thigh. If there are too many underweight pieces then please change your chicken supplier and you will get better reviews.

Stupid people, gave me a chicken burger instead of plant based. I am a vegetarian and never had meat and they were not even sorry about it, talking to each other in their own language. Ridiculous mistake and unprofessional behaviour.
