Ordered rogan josh this evening. The worst mutton rogan josh we ever had in our life. Do u guyz really know how to make rogan josh and the quantity was really disappointing. Like u charged almost 20 bucks for this much quantity. Go and learn first how to make authentic rogan josh and then serve the customers. You can’t name simple mutton curry as rogan josh that too tasteless. Don’t fool the customers as we are from Kashmir and we know what is rogan josh and how it is made

Ordered take away and it was excellent. The Daal Khazana is amazing. Used to go to the resto downtown when I worked downtown and it was consistently awesome! Love the Khazana!!! ?

The best Indian food I have had in Edmonton area so far! I was struggling to find a place with authentic taste and spices and not the westernized versions and this restaurant amazed it. We were a big group, but the food came out on time and the service was wonderful. Prices are pretty good too compared with South side Indian restaurants. Lots of parking since this is a new development. We will be back!

Somehow, I've never been to the downtown Khazana--even though it's been open for over 20 years. So when I saw Khazana Express open up nearby, I figured it was time to give it a try.

Overall, it was: meh. If I could give 2.5 stars, I would. I was pretty disappointed, considering Khazana's reputation.

The food was all quite spicy...and I like spice. I put sriracha on everything. My family, not so much. Even the butter chicken had my fam grabbing for the ice water. Speaking of butter chicken, it was a letdown. We had to open all four containers (they were not labeled) and still couldn't figure out which one was the butter chicken. The sauce was not particularly creamy; it was spicy and very acidic. I've had better butter chicken sauce from a jar.

The tikka masala was nothing special (more below). Coconut shrimp was better--but again, spicy. We all liked the naan bread, but beware as it has a LOT of garlic on it.

All of the food was drowning in sauce, which is pretty typical of Indian food in Edmonton. Worse, the tikka masala--once fished out of the sauce and brushed off a bit--was burnt. So I really don't understand why people like this place so much. Did I just have an unusually bad experience?

I thought it would be nice to have a decent Indian restaurant in this end of town. But I'm still looking for one.

(I got takeout, so there's not much I can say about the atmosphere. It was a Friday, late afternoon and there were no customers inside. That in itself makes me wonder why.)

Some dishes where exceptional, some not so much. Butter chicken was outstanding.

A side dish of rice is expensive at $8, but there's a good amount to share. Lemon rice was so sour it was inedible.

The lamb was delicious but would not recommend the tandoori chicken wrap. It's more like a vegetable wrap with a couple if tiny pieces of chicken. Not worth $18 in my opinion.

The interior is attractive & creating the perfect memories for an unforgettable dining experience. But it’s the food that truly steals our heart. Whether you’re craving classic favorites like butter chicken and lamb curry or paneer tikka you’ll find something to satisfy your taste buds. But perhaps the best part of dining at Khazana North is the friendly and attentive service. The manager goes above and beyond to ensure that every guest feels welcome and well taken care. Thanks for delicious brunch & special thanks to manager for their attentive hospitality.
