We ordered the couples platter and a side of garlic bread. The kids meal was free, which was very nice. The kids meal and appetizer arrived quite fast. However our main course took an hour to arrive. My garlic bread never came even though we asked for it twice. The dessert that came with the meal was forgotten until we had to remind them for it. Throughout all of this, the servers were very friendly and spoke professionally. The timing of the food was what made the meal not enjoyable.

Breakfast was disappointing, the steak showed up blue we sent it back and it came back almost as equally rare. Then the waiter starting arguing with us on whether the steak was cooked properly or not. He offered to take the same cut up steak and put it back on the grill but kept telling us we were wrong. We also got the Chilaquiles and they were the soggiest mess we’ve eating. For 3 dishes we spent well over $120 with zero compensation. We all left hungry and with our pockets lighter. Will not come back mainly because of the arguing from the waiter.

The prices are in line with finer dining establishments but food quality and service doesn’t compare. Go to the Keg for this kind of pricing or even still the Olive Garden where it’s half the price, better food and service!!

The staff and service were great like usual but tonight was the only time I thought the food absolutely atrocious. Spent 1000 dollars taking my family there for Thanksgiving tonight . 4 course meal that included cold soup that looked like baby spitup and tasted like cream of wheat. A salad that I swear was grass clipping covered in blue cheese. The main couse included rolled up turkey that was bland no flavor and dried right up included something that resembled stuffing. The vegetables were maybe half cooked the raw and cooked at the same time. The Brussel sprouts were hard like jaw breakers . The dessert was terrific like usual. In all they should not have made a Thanksgiving meal when the chef obviously does not know how to cook one. I would gove 0 stars for the food if I could. Hopefully they see this review and never serve food like this again. It will be a long time before I step foot back in here.

We celebrated our sons birthday here and we were treated so well. The food and service were amazing! Our waiter Himanshu K was exceptional and made sure we were well looked after. I highly recommend this restaurant. The Aloha burger was amazing.

While enjoying a night at the Fantasyland Hotel, Appies were Complimentary and so we visited the L2 Grill. Our Host Himanshu was so welcoming, courteous and attentive that we felt especially welcome and pampered. The Cheese Fondue with a side of dry ribs was excellent and such generous portions that we didn't need dinner! Well crafted Caesar for me and a lovely Chardonnay for my Sweetie and we were well satisfied and charmed in the Library/Lounge setting. The kitchen crew did an excellent job! The flavours were spot on!
We'll be back!

Will never be eating at this restaurant again. Wouldnt even recommend it to anyone.

We had a fall promo with our hotel room to eat there for a focaccia bread and cheese fondue. We arrived to be greeted by someone who had no idea of our promo and argued that we had a different meal booked for later. She made us wait 4 minutes while she called the front desk because she didn’t believe us. They serve tap water.. which is perfectly fine but it was nasty tasting tap water. The focaccia bread was chewy and cheese fondue was chunky and didn’t taste the greatest either. Then we were told the waitress was cashing out so we needed to pay… we weren’t even done eating. She states we can stay and finish. So we did. To be left standing inside the restaurant locked in with no staff around…. We unlocked the door on the bottom and walked out.

Fast forward to dinner. We had booked it again, through the hotel as an anniversary package. We showed up with a reservation and set menu of what was supposed to be served. We were seated promptly this time to be then greeted by the I assume manager who was pretty rude when we asked him to explain the meal and what we would be getting exactly because we’ve never had it before. Not a hard thing to do, he didn’t make us feel welcome at all. We asked him to take the nasty tap water away and he got all pissy stating we’d had to pay for the other water… yet we are paying $200 already for the meal that is only worth $100… sure the hotel throws a few rose petals on the bed and they offer you a bottle of sparkling wine and dessert but don’t offer nasty water just to make a buck when you charge for the better tasting actually drinkable water. We didn’t want the other water just take the nasty one. He tell us it would be a 45 minute wait while they prepare the platter… who in their mind wants to wait 45 minutes for their food… like seriously?! He came back a few minutes later and we asked to confirm why it would take 45 minutes when we had a reservation with a set menu that they could’ve already had prepped… he tells us he said 25 not 45 which is a lie. Then my husband noticed his shirt is unbuttoned and told the manger to fix himself. At this point my husband and myself had enough and agreed to go somewhere else to be treated better and not wait 45 minutes for our food.

Sorry for the long review, however if you’re considering this place I honestly would go to moxies just down the mall. Food was way better and they treat you proper.

Also, the decor is tacky and honestly kind of creepy.

The L2 Grill has been renovated very recently to have a whimsical forest library theme (walls lined up like bookshelves not pictured).

It's looking brighter with gorgeous, globe-like chandeliers and looks less stuffy and formal. Dapperly accessorized forest creatures cast in bronze or featured in family-style framed photos dot the walls of the dining room. The buffet area has a beautiful mural of animals in hats and glasses or monocles and it was a pleasure to sit nearby and notice something new each time I really looked at it.

The rotating Friday lunch buffet features a limited but delicious selection of salads, entrees, and a feature soup. The desserts are beautifully presented, and there is even a display case of assorted desserts by the entrance in the event you want to take one home with you. The signature creme brulee is always a sweet way to end your meal.

The staff are friendly, attentitive, and if you haven't had their Sunday Brunch, I highly suggest you ask to have a table booked for you the next time you stop in or stay at the Fantasyland Hotel.

Our server, Himanshu k was very nice and accommodating for our gluten allergy. The food was the best quality food I've had in a long time and the presentation had so much care put into it. My partner and I licked the plate clean. Their deserts were top tier and we didn't expect such amazing service!

We ordered the meal for 2 and we loved it. We are always pleasantly surprised at the quality of food when we eat at L2. Himanshu was very accommodating packing our dessert to go when realized we were running late for a movie. Thank you for a wonderful date night!
