Most authentic and delicious poutine with squeaky cheese in Edmonton. Generous and well balanced portion of gravy, cheese curds to fries ratio. Nice variety.

This place was great. Good poutines, nice staff. I have had Poutine all over Quebec, and I honestly think out west we don’t get it because I have never really enjoyed poutine in Quebec. I travelled all through Quebec from Montreal to the tip of the Gaspe and have always been underwhelmed by poutine in Quebec. So, I have to assume we just do it differently out west because poutine is obviously very popular in Quebec.
That said, La Poutine in Edmonton is very good and I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We ordered in (delivery) and it was so good!!! Large portions and packed with flavour! The fries were not soggy at all, lots of smoked meat and the beef gravy was tasty! Next time I’ll stop in ! I also appreciated the little note on our order!

We stopped in to La Poutine today in a hurry and in the middle of lunch hour. We were able to get a seat.
Our server was very friendly and the orders came fast and were exactly right.
The food was delicious. The Quebecoise had LOTS of smoked meat and curds. and the Traditional was heaped with toppings. We both had traditional gravy, which was excellent.
The prices wew quite modest, in my opinion.
A very pleasant experience, and we'll be sure to be back soon.
There's free 15-minute parking just a short half-block away, longer if you want to pay

Of all my poutinology studies, I came to conclude that poutine has a geographical factor, some could say a curse, which makes it impossible for it to be proper outside of Quebec and its nearest border towns in neighbouring provinces. I've been travelling the world and Canada, trying to get the most unbiased and trialed experience to make that statement untrue.
This poutine, however, comes closest to being the exception for this rule. Really good sauce, nice golden fries which mix well with the sauce. We are this close, this close to being Quebec caliber. The cheese curds, as one would expect due to the usual sourcing issues, are just a tiny bitsy too watery and lacking just a bit of firmness to give it the bounce they need.
Service with a smile with a real communal feel to the place, with the customers passing by seeming to be die-hard regulars.
There also seemed to be lots of nice toppings to put and I will come back for that but for scientific purposes, the first poutine trialed in an establishment must showcase the basics without being hidden in condiments.
Until further research is done, this is the best outside of Quebec in my scientific opinion.

Very unprofessional girl standing behind the counter tonight. She was talking with her friend for several minutes and didn’t even acknowledge me the entire time. I was the one who had to ask HER if she was free to help me.
Ordered the hot mess poutine from here once and I did enjoy it. Only thing is that I found the aluminum containers for delivery orders alters the taste of it a bit.

Best poutine west of Quebec.
Had lunch there with some friends today food was tasty and the atmosphere was nice. The fellow at the cash was absolutely excellent and provided wonderful service.
Parking is a little rough so if you are driving your self in a vehicle be prepared to look around for parking we ended up parking a little bit away and walking to the restaurant
Parking: There aren't any dedicated parking spots for this location and the nearby lots are reserved exclusively for other restaurants, we had to circle the block a little to find parking and ended up about 4-5 minutes walking distance away. There is a bus stop almost right in front of the location so if you are taking transit this is a very easy spot to get to.

First time trying this place. Had Montreal Smoked Meat poutine.
Not impressed. Very little gravy, and what there is has very little flavour. Decent amount of meat and cheese, but not even enough gravy to melt the cheese.
