This was my first time going to the LaRonde, and this was my partner's 60th birthday celebration. From the moment we entered the restaurant the view the ambiance, the staff made us feel welcome. Our server was Jason, and he was probably one of the best servers I have encountered. His knowledge, friendliness and timing on everything was perfect. I would highly recommend LaRonde for its service, ambiance, and value for your money, hands down. Thank you for our amazing evening.
The taste was basic. The food was'nt as hot as it should be. The lobster ravioli was not good at all. My husbands Prime rib was delicious but unfortunately the mash potatoes tasted like they came from a box or they used margarine instead of butter. The vegetables were delicious and salad as well as dessert. For a restaurant of this calibur, I would have expected a lot more with the quality of the dishes. I was also surprised when i asked my server if i could replace my potatoes...
We had a wonderful waiter who taught us lovely Japanese greetings and although we had young children at our table - he was very forgiving of the energy. What a wonderful experience we always have at the La Ronde. We frequent there whenever we can get to Edmonton. In year 2000 - we were invited to a Kinette program called Celebrate Canada Day in the capital and enjoyed a breakfast there with Mayor at that time Bill Smith!
