Absolutely delicious!

It is my first time trying African food. We ordered two main and two coffee. It tastes good and appetising. The mains are like a wrap, but soft pancake version. While, luckily I ask them to offer me a fork, or it would be too messy for non Africans like me to have it by hand.

I really recommend you to order the coffee, as it comes with a burning spice , which has a sense of ritual.

The environment is decent and the owner is so nice !

We will come over again and try something else.

This was my first time trying Ethiopian food. I had the vegan platter. Blew my mind! I'm not sure what all I ate but it tasted very good. The injeera was like the best possible version of whole wheat sourdough. It was neat seeing the different kinds of paintings and crafts from Ethiopia on the wall, too.

It was overall a strange dining experience.
It was eerily quiet when we went on a Friday evening. The lighting was dim and the only server there did not seem like they were expecting anyone to come in.

The menu was painful to read - if you know your way around Ethiopian food you may be fine. Otherwise you may need to google almost every single word on that menu.

Food was not bad but I wouldn’t describe it as amazing as mentioned in other reviews.

The food here is sooo good! We got the cha cha, the mesir wot and the doro alicha wot! We didn't snap a photo but we ate it all! Left feeling so full and satisfied and wasn't crazy expensive. I can't wait to back and try more. Also service was bomb lady was so nice serving us!

Called in for takeout several hours in advance, and despite this we still had to wait an additional 20 minutes for our order. Portions are substantially smaller than other Ethiopian/Eritrean restaurants with similar pricing. The food itself was also severely under-seasoned. Probably would not recommend.

Nice place. However, the restaurant was very cold. The food was good and tasty.

The food, the flavours, the communal experience, it was so much better than we anticipated. This set a new high bar for us. Will definitely take in another dine in - take out event.

Had an amazing dining experience at Lalibela with my family! The food was absolutely delicious—authentic Ethiopian flavors that truly hit the spot. The hospitality was warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Easily one of the best spots for Ethiopian cuisine in town. We'll definitely be coming back! Highly recommend for anyone looking to try a taste of Ethiopia!

Lalibela Restaurant in Edmonton is truly one of the best East African dining experiences in town. The food, drinks, and customer service are exceptional. I tried the cha cha, a deliciously spiced and perfectly fried beef dish that’s packed with amazing flavors. I also had tej, a traditional Ethiopian honey wine, which was wonderfully smooth and unique. For anyone visiting, I highly recommend trying both the cha cha and tej—you won’t be disappointed!

The food is mediocre, not with the high price they sell it for. At a lower price change I would recommend this place.
