This place is a hidden gem! We reserved a table in-advance, and upon arrival we found out that they normally just do orders for delivery. The chef was very kind to having us dine-in because we called. We started with a couple of sambusas, followed by a lamb dish and a spicy red lentils dish. We also had their special tea, and mango beverage. Everything was wonderful. The chef (I wish I got her name!) was super friendly and approachable, and frequently stopped by our table to check-in and socialize. She's amazing! Will happily come again!

Langano Skies is a true culinary gem. This was my first time trying Ethiopian cuisine, and I was pleasantly surprised—every dish was bold, authentic, and thoughtfully crafted. From the perfectly spiced stews to the traditional injera, each bite was rich, satisfying, and unforgettable.

The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between welcoming and elevated, with attentive staff who make the dining experience smooth and memorable. Whether you’re new to Ethiopian food or a longtime fan, Langano Skies delivers a meal that feels both indulgent and culturally immersive. 🍽️

The food, the flavours, the communal experience, it was so much better than we anticipated. This set a new high bar for us. Will definitely take in another dine in - take out event.

The food, omg, the flavours. This is a restaurant that needs to be tried. They love what they do, and it shows in the food. It was quite delicious. Would eat here again.
Note: currently shares space with Barb & Ernie's, what a great way to utilize a space to be able to share this great good.

Sooo! We found this beautiful family owned restaurant at the food truck at Folk Festival 2024. My fiancée and I fell in love and kept going to their food truck during the 4 day festival ?

Today we ate in and brought our other family members. They only do dine in the 3rd Friday of every month; worth reserving the table! They still offer take out and pick up during the operating hours.

It’s rare to find such customer service and the owners are hands on and they are amazing. Thank you all so much!!

Simon was our server; he was so personable and attentive
And Amsale the owner always has a mothers touch and love to the food she makes

This will be our family get together every month

Thank you all!

You have to go here! First off this is now located inside Barb and Ernie’s. They are open Thursday to Saturday and usually take out. Friday they have a special for a vegetarian platter.

Such an amazing experience. Amsale went above and beyond. Gave us a place to dine in and prepared a special platter for us so that we could try both vegetarian and meat options.

The food was fresh and delicious and you can really tell how much effort is put into the preparation of the food.

We loved it and the experience getting to speak to Amsale about her cooking and how she makes certain dishes.

Highly recommend this place!

Paul and Amsale have been offering up the highest quality Ethiopian cuisine for almost twenty years. It is my favourite restaurant in the city. Recently they have moved from their Whyte Avenue location to Barb and Ernie’s restaurant on 99 Street and 72 Avenue. You can enjoy takeout from Thursday - Saturday starting at 4:30 pm and they also have a dine -in event once a month on the third Friday. They are also having a special New Year’s Eve Buffet. Can’t wait!!!
