Had dinner at Lemongrass Cafe. They have a âvegetarianâ menu on one page but the server was unsure of what was vegan. She said to place our order then she would check with the kitchen and let us know if any of the items we ordered were not able to be made vegan. We decided in the lemon tofu, curried tofu with apples and mango, and veggie fried rice. The lemon tofu was a big disappointment. It was not tofu, it seemed to be reconstituted soy curls that had no flavour themselves and desperately needed the lemon sauce. The tofu curry was better, but the sauce was a weird consistency. Thick and gloopy from whatever they had used as a thickener. The fried rice was pretty basic but we did appreciate that it contained fresh veggies. The food was pretty meh so we wouldnât go out of our way to eat there again.
