The sandwiches here are amazing! I was expecting sliced deli meat, not actual turkey breast, which was so delicious, filling, and very reasonably priced. The sourdough bread was perfect. I wish I caught the name of the person working at the counter because she was so sweet! We had an easy fun conversation and she made me a delicious strawberry milk latte for my birthday that Iāve been thinking about ever since. The vibe of the cafe is quiet and cozy, which perfectly suits the alley location. You have to stop in here if youāre craving a drink, snack, or sandwich!

This place is a literal hidden gem, donāt pass by when you are walking down Whyte - itās worth the side quest down Spur Line Alley!
Their sourdough bagels and buns are insanely good, get there early so you donāt miss out! They make everything fresh in the shop so it smells amazing as soon as you walk in the door. It has a really cozy hangout vibe too, great place to sip a latte and doodle or have a heart to heart with a friend.
There is also a cute little hangout space downstairs, a hidden gem within a hidden gem.

The service was rude and careless right from the start.
It was our first time visiting, and my partner was making conversation and kindly asked the gentleman at the counter what kinds of bagels were offered -- the gentleman just rudely pointed to the display.
I noticed that there were no cheddar bagels in the display, and I asked if they were out of those (I thought there might be a chance that they had more in the back or were in the process of baking more). The gentleman rudely said that if it's not in the display then they're out.
I ordered an everything bagel, and there were about five of them in the display at the time I ordered. When I received my order, it was a plain bagel. I notified the gentleman that I had asked for an everything bagel, but he just said that they ran out and he did not seem to care at all. They had given the remaining everything bagels to customers that had arrived after us, even though I ordered + paid for one first, and they did not even bother to check with me if I would be okay with a different bagel when preparing my order.
That being said, the bagel and jalapeno cream cheese were very tasty, but I'm not sure that I would return due to the terrible service.

definitely a hidden gem. getting a matcha latte and sandwich for under 20 dollars is already a rarity these days, let alone a matcha made with a proper bowl and whisk and a sandwich with fresh ingredients on baked daily sourdough buns. highly recommend!

Great little spot off whyte, the sandwiches are delicious but I will say theyres usually a bit of a wait while they make them, no major complaints since it is nice and fresh when you get it but I wish the service were a touch quicker. Prices are also super reasonable

I have been at Leoās cafe several times and noticed staff members wiping the counter with a filthy rag and then I also noticed that the staff wipes the tip of the expresso Spout Portafilter
with the same rag. One time I complained to the staff member while I was at the counter and the staff member stated that the rag was clean and was changed five minutes ago.
Yesterday AFTERNOON September 17th 2025,
I was at Leosās cafe and when I approached the counter no staff was present but minutes later a female staff member emerged from the basement
she was in the washroom, when the barista approached the counter she did not wash her hands she came directly to me, I asked her if she would please wash her hands before making my expresso but she refused to do so. I asked her a second time and she refused she stated that she washed her hands in the washroom but I did not se her doing that. After she refused to wash her hands, I stated: I do not want a coffee here.
She stated: āSure no problemā.
Iām a customer at other cafes and I noticed all the staff members that come out from the washroom they wash their hands at the counter so customers can see it.

No cash unless you donāt want your change back. Guaranteed they would get more service if this was an option. Either way, I got the avocado with turkey bacon on a bagel and the strawberry matcha cloud with coconut milk, which were both incredibly tasty.
