My girls and I are never disappointed coming to Urban Plant, whether it’s for a sweet treat or a refreshing boba tea! It’s usually coconut jelly instead of the popping boba offered to us, so I can’t say if we’ve actually tried their boba from there. Haha. Love, love, love the plants you can admire or buy!

The atmosphere is great, lots of plants and the cafe has good decor. It is a good place for hanging out with friends. The deserts were just ok, nothing too impressive, it is something you could get from other desert places too. I would have considered coming back for their deserts since it is close by, however their customer service is not up to standard. The staffs are regularly rude, not polite. I am pretty sure it is not the communication issue, they do understand you, but I don’t agree with the way they deal with customers.
We visited this cafe a few months ago with a group of 4, they didn’t have any tables for 4 when we arrived. We combined (2) two seats tables together, which were next to each other to begin with, so the 4 of us could sit together. The girl staff walked straight to us and said: “Make sure you guys move the tables back to how they were before you leave.” We all stood there, looking at each other. Excuse me ! We would have done so without you telling us to. This is how you talk to the customers ???
I visited again last week, the guy at the till was as rude as usual. I ordered two drinks to go. He said : “If you order to go, you cannot sit on the table. The table is for dine in only.” Hmm , A what ? ! I ordered two drinks to go, why would I sit on your table and finish two drinks on my own, lol !
I don’t think I would go back to this place. I would take my money to other places for better service.

We knew we were comjng to Edmonton so we hunted online ahead of time for a bingsu place. I was absolutely thrilled with Urban Plant Cafe! We ordered a single brown sugar bingsu to share. It was huge and so pretty. I was afraid that it would be way too sweet for my liking but it was actually perfect. It was amazing. I was shocked when we got to the bottom and my spoon found corn flakes down there! But then I was even more shocked to find them CRUNCHY! They were sitting in the milk down there - what kind of corn flakes can stay crunchy like that? ? And amazingly enough, they somehow fit right in to the rest of the flavors happening. It was so delicious! I loved too that the server and the "cook" were speaking Korean to each other. I like authentic experiences and this Korean bingsu from these nice Korean people totally fit that bill.

My friend wanted to try bingsu so we went there for exploring. When we went inside our first thought was that it’s pricey however I insisted on trying it. We tried the strawberry bingsu, they have around 8 different flavours to choose from. The bingsu itself is made of real fruit and the quantity for small can satisfy craving of 2 people at least. The presentation skills are phenomenal. Will come back to try the other food out here. Must visit.
Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options as mostly it is real fruits and ice cream, unsure about eggs in breads though
