Been holding off this really bad/rude experience with the old server there. But today, can't hold it anymore. The convo went like this as soon as I entered the door.
Oorder pa lang? In an unpleasant tone and voice.
Ako po yung tumawag knina...
Sinabi ko name ko. She misheard it kaya ang response nya sa akin ay.
Baka sa iba ka tumawag?
Sinabi ko yung name ko ulit at ang pag uusap nmin via phone.
Then my order is ready na pla. I paid for it, then ask her, are you the owner? Sagot nya, hindi, server lang.
To my frustration and disappointment with the kind of service this person is giving me I responded, "sungit nyo po kasi". Then in an instant she's so defensive saying ganun lang daw tlg sya.
People should think many times whether to go to this restaurant, if I am getting this kind of treatment/service considering that I am a regular patron spending couple of hundred dollars per month what more to those who spend less? I now think they don't value your loyalty to their business as such this review has been due and just.

This has been by far, the BEST Filipino food I've had at a restaurant in a long time! I came here with my family as we were visiting from Calgary and we were immediately greeted and welcomed by friendly staff. It's very open and bright inside with modernized decor but with still that Filipino flare. I told our server that I have a HUGE appetite and she recommended the meat platter which we DEVOURED. It's the best Filipino style barbecue - so tender and flavourful. We even got to sample their pusit noodles with squid ink and I was amazed with how good it is! Just be mindful of the ink darkening your lips! Lol.
We even got to try their halo-halo and buko Pandan; I normally don't like either of those things but it had just the right sweetness and was SO CREAMY. We got it to go but ended up eating it all before we got to the car.
We haven't stopped talking about their food since we got back home. We plan on coming here every time we are in Edmonton. Our only complaint is that they don't have a location in Calgary.

Mediocre food and service! After doing grocery at Lucky 97 I took my grandson at Manila grill. Ordered fresh lumpia, halo-halo and bulalo for dine in but it take them half an hour to inform us that there is no more broth. They recommend sinigang instead, so I said okay. After half an hour of waiting for sinigang, I decided to just go and ask them to just wrap it for take out. We went home hungry! Sinigang is mediocre! Some of fresh lumpia is maasin na! I will not recommend this place ever! Waste of money!

This is “authentic” in the sense that you’d get the same lousy customer service as if you were actually in the Philippines.
It took at least an hour for 4 measly spring rolls to come out. All we ordered was fried rice. What kind of restaurant takes over an hour to fry rice? Even a shrimp could fry rice faster and better than this. By the time the fried rice came out, it was as cold as a corpse and we weren’t even hungry anymore.
The two families who arrived after we did got ALL of their orders out first before we even got our spring rolls. I can’t tell what’s worse, the food or the service. No wonder this place has really bad reviews, they really uphold their reputation. If you’re thinking of coming here, just drive a little farther and buy your own ingredients from Superstore across the street and cook your own food.
The server only knows how to take orders but not bring the food out or follow up with customers. You could literally go to the busiest Costco food court on the planet and receive better food AND service than from this place. 5/5 avoid at all costs, would avoid again.
