Marble slap ice cream always hits, and I always enjoy going there. The employees at this location are always very kind and patient, and Zeina especially was very accommodating and considerate. I had a big order with lots of mix-ins, and she was thoughtful enough to put my ice cream in a larger cup so it wouldn't be overloaded into the size I ordered and melt and be a mess to eat.

Iâve always preferred visiting the Windermere location of Marble Slab Creamery, even going out of my way to stop here instead of other branches. Unfortunately, my recent experience was extremely disappointing and upsetting, primarily due to the behavior of a staff member named Xena (or Zena).
While the store advertises unlimited mix-ins, I was met with resistance when I politely requested Nutella sauce on top of my ice cream. Instead of accommodating the request professionally, she raised her voice and snapped, âWHICH ONE?â This sudden aggression was both uncalled for and embarrassing, especially with other customers present.
To make matters worse, while my husband was paying, she loudly commented to her coworkerâclearly intended for us to hearâabout the number of toppings in our order. This made the interaction feel intentionally rude and humiliating.
What struck me most was that her demeanor toward us was noticeably different from how she interacted with other (non-Brown) customers. That contrast in treatment led me to feel that her behavior was racially motivated, which is deeply hurtful and unacceptable.
This experience was disappointing not just because of poor customer service, but because weâve always chosen this location specifically due to past positive visits. It's disheartening to now feel unwelcome in a place we previously enjoyed.
I sincerely hope that the management takes this feedback seriously and provides appropriate training or oversight to ensure all customers are treated with equal respect and kindnessâregardless of race or background.
BTW: We are YouTube influencers who regularly feature local businesses in our content. We believe in sharing honest experiences with our audienceâboth the good and the bad. I love marbles ice cream however when I went to this specific location the manager was quite rude to her employee when I was ordering I could tell the employee was new and still learning however the manager just kept saying unnecessary and snarky comments towards the employee I could tell the employee was tearing up and felt really bad. The ice cream was good but Iâm not sure about the management.

Always has my favourite ice cream flavor, coconut, in their freezer as a litre. Service is fast and staff are friendly.
Though, I wish the staff tried to help us find the ice cream flavor we wanted in the freezer, instead of just standing around.

Since moving to Edmonton in 2022, I have struggled to find an ice cream spot that hits the mark. Most places were just too sweet, with even sweeter toppings that gave me no satisfaction, and I was starting to lose hope. Yes, people, it was that serious. My joy in life was being crushed. Then, by chance, my husband and I saw Marble Slab after a movie, and he suggested we try it. I went in fully expecting to be disappointed. My first server, Priyanka, listened so kindly when I explained that I have a bit of a delicate palate for ice cream. She was incredibly welcoming and patient as I explored the flavors and unlimited mix-in options.
I found my favorite blend right away: strawberry ice cream mixed with all kinds of berries, pineapple, and almonds. It's absolutely delicious! Iâve been back at least six times a month since, often bringing my kids along. The ice cream here strikes the perfect balance of sweetness and refreshment, and I love that I can add fruit mix-ins rather than just caramel or chocolate syrups.
The staff always makes me feel welcome, even when I experiment with some pretty wild combinations. Special shout-out to Priyanka, Lydia, and Jayâyouâre amazing! You guys often remind me when I miss out on a beloved topping and laugh when I gasped dramatically saying I would die if I went home and the flavor was not perfect. You guys made strawberry ice cream close to closing because you anticipated I would come to the store and know it is my favorite flavor.

Rude staff! The guy was Not wearing gloves. When asked to wear gloves, rolled eyes , made faces and finally behaved as if he did us a favour putting on gloves. Rudely put the ice cream on the shelf. And as we were walking out, he was preparing the next customer order same way : no gloves Poor poor behaviour ! Staff needs basic food handling training !
