@marlo_yeg very disappointed to hear back and get emails when giftcards are purchased and you receive really demeaning emails from the owner for fraudulent charges. Extremely low and demeaning for a place that prides itself for being a restaurant and cannot clarify transactions. I am upset and I really need everyone to be aware of this situation. We were also told to leave in five minutes because of another reservation even when I had tipped $26 for no service that was provided.

My boyfriend and I were visiting Edmonton from out of town in October of 2025. I used to live there and attended UofA, so we got an AirBnB in the area. Before we went to a show at Midway Music Hall, I wanted to walk down Whyte Ave to reminisce and get some food. My boyfriend is a celiac, and a taco enthusiast, so we wanted to find a place that met both of these needs. Marlo Tacos met and exceeded our expectations!
We didn't have a reservation and it was quite busy when we arrived. It isn't a huge space, but they have the tables well set up to utilize it. We managed to get one of the last tables in the place, and I'm so glad we did! The atmosphere, food and drinks were all amazing, and our server was so nice. It was nostalgic for me, having lived there a decade ago, as I got to watch people walking around in an area I've spent tons of time in the past. I also remember when the venue used to be a clothing shop!
The server was attentive and happy to confirm the options were gluten free for my boyfriend. We really appreciated the attention to detail and extra care. It means a lot! I will recommend this place to my family and friends who still live in Edmonton, and will be happy to return when next I visit there!

tacos are great here, some of the best in the city, my go to is the al pastor and always the chips and dip comes with a cheese, bean and pico on the side, they swap the chips out with a not so good chips but they changed it back the original chips which is a huge difference, i actually stopped going here cause of that but now we’re back lol, it’s a small spot just off whyte ave and usually busy, in the summer they have a patio spot which is great, only thing is i wish it was a little bigger inside but it’s worth going regardless, staff is friendly and service is excellent highly recommend this place if you haven’t been, again excellent tacos forsure one of the best in the city if not the best

The food was very good. When I booked a reservation, I assumed this would be at a table and we were cramped into bar stools. There were open tables but the hostess was not accommodating and a bit rude. The person sitting next to us at the bar smelled like ashtray after smoking outside so it wasn't a very enjoyable experience given the limited seating.

The entire experience for our table of four was fantastic. Service was friendly, efficient and timely. We all agreed the tacos were THE BEST we'd had anywhere! Way to go Marlo Tacos! 🌟🌮
I've gone to Marlos a few times and always enjoyed it. This most recent time the Margarita was good as usual but the fish taco completely fell apart. I got a fork and knife and was able to eat it but it was not as good as usual. I was compted for the taco without even asking which is appreciated.

Went here for my bday recently, never heard of it. omg the food was amazing soooo fresh!! im not a big fish taco person but wow the batter was crispy and the ingredients delicious. im excited to bring my partner here for our date night will recommend to family and friends
