So I got take out Byriani. This is a South indian restaurant. The lady was super nice. I am also south Asian and think the Byriani is very good. Big pieces of chicken, the rice is cooked well and the paste in the Byriani was perfect. I am trying not to eat all of it at once. The price is also very good at around 13.50. I wish I had gotten a second one as I dont live nearby. I think people should try this unassuming restaurant. It's not fancy but the Byriani hit the spot. I suggest people try this restaurant for south indian food and recommend one try it.

Matthew is amazing and we used to go to Masalaz as our go to for South Indian food. We have moved to Australia since but we miss Masalaz food and free endless chats with Matthew. He once bought 4 high chairs just because we had twins and he didn’t have enough high chairs. Food was amazing and Matthew makes it all a dining experience worth going back to.

Quiet strip mall South Indian vibe off 66th street. Lovely staff that made me feel like an aristocrat. The Lamb Biriyani was fantastic, served with papadam and lemon pickle and raita. Great value and fantastic homemade pickle.Had a fried plantain for dessert and a house coffee, which was creamy delicious and rounded out the experience.Took a jar of lemon pickle and bag of garlic peanuts home. Can't wait to try the dhosa and some more off the menu.

Cheap prices compared to other restaurants, and that’s the only reason I go herei always come in weekends to pickup . They have very limited food options but whatever they have is good and has true Kerala style taste . they also have good snacks. .

I have been eating here for years and you set the standard for South Indian food. When new owners took over I had to stop ordering as the quality went down and you never had chicken or fish 65 or biranyi or sometimes anything. BUT I tried again and the quality was back as well as menu choices!! So whoever is cooking now THANK YOU!! I missed your food so much!! Wish you could stay open a little later on Friday and Saturday nights

We as a family had a chance to eat our dinner from Masalas, I must say, all the dishes were equally good, specially their kappa and fish curry, we also tried their fried rice, thattukada chicken fry, pork chilly and chicken varuthe arache curry, all were equally good.Edmonton People, watch out for the authentic Kerala food as it’s really delicious.
