The food was okay, I ate a lot, so no complaints there, but the service? Terrible!!! We got a paper box for soup while others with the same order got proper plastic containers💀💀. No smiles, and when we didn’t leave a tip (very well deserved btw), the workers literally showed it to each other didn't even tryna hide it. Inconsistent, and unprofessional!!

Food takes forever to arrive, and when it finally shows up, it’s bland, extremely oily, and completely flavorless. There’s absolutely no excuse for such long wait times just to be served food with no taste.
They don’t follow order instructions or special requests at all, and the staff are rude and unprofessional. Every single time I come here or order from this place, it’s a disappointment.
The food is overpriced and not worth it in any way. This restaurant does not represent Filipino cuisine at all, which is especially disappointing given how rich and flavorful Filipino food should be.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and go somewhere else unless you want to be disappointed

Don't bother, very unorganized and time waster. I ordered here for Christmas Eve and yes I understand it's a busy time and there are other people that have the same idea as me, but seriously the speed at which they work to fulfill their orders are comparable to that of a sloth. I placed an order online for a holiday feast promo and 3 other entrees, my total amount already approximately 180 dollars. I placed the order with ample time around 2pm for pick up at 5:15pm. The order screen after paying for the order stated that my order will be ready around 5:15pm and that they will email me a confirmation code, still haven't recieved the said code and yes I checked my spam. Then the lady has the audacity to be asking me to show her a confirmation email with my name on it, like you guys didn't even send that to begin with. So what exactly can I prove to show I paid for it, how hard is it to just search whatever database of orders to see who has what order. So obviously they're incredibly unorganized and I'm not the only one sharing this sentiment as there were plenty of people pacing and foot tapping in irritance that this restaurant can hardly fulfill their demands in a timely and orderly fashion. Not to mention that the crazy this about it all is the clear lack of sincerity for their obvious mismanagement and delays of everyone's plans. Find a different restaurant for better quality and taste and value, max's restaurant just ain't it.

We will not buy again. The pancit is too salty and the vegetables are not cooked, the tofu is too oily. Even the crispy pata is too salty and the skin is burnt. The chicken is too dry and tough and not even juicy. Not worth buying. The staff who eat their lunch seem embarrassed to order. Their food is more delicious and quality than what they serve.
We hosted our wedding on November 08, 2025 at Max’s restaurant in Edmonton, it was a joyful, memorable celebration. The restaurant welcoming atmosphere gave our events warm, friendly-centred feel. While the staff ensured everything ran seamlessly. Mam Mercy did a great job on transforming the space for our wedding. She has a personal touch on all the things we need. The food was delicious, max signature fried chicken lived up to its reputation. If you are looking for a wedding reception Max’s restaurant is a place to be.

We celebrated our reception wedding at Max’s last September, and it was honestly one of the best decisions we made! The food was amazing, and the staff were all so friendly and attentive ( special thanks to Maam Mercy from the day of booking the date, answering our questions and accomodating us during the day of our wedding). They really made us feel special the whole time.
The setup was simple but beautiful, exactly what we wanted. Everything went so smoothly, and our guests had such a great time. We’ll always remember how warm and welcoming everyone at Max’s was. Thank you for helping make our wedding day so memorable! ❤️
