Fun time shopping at Value Village!
May exceeded our expectations. Excellent service, nice atmosphere, and delicious, unique, well-presented dishes. The striploin and drumsticks were highlights! Thanks for being such a memorable part of our anniversary; we look forward to returning for brunch. :)
Great food ! Great service. Will go back !
My wife and I went here for brunch, and the food was excellent.
I ordered the risotto, and my wife ordered gnocchi, and it was a treat. Their coffee was also good— it had a strong taste, even with milk and sugar.
We’ll definitely be back.
First of all: Wow! The service (Jesse from Vancouver?) was great and the food delicious.
We ordered the bread roll for an appy, then the sirloin and the gnocchi. The gnocchi wasn’t my thing, but my boyfriend absolutely loved it and everything about it was thought after and made well (just the flavours weren’t my thing). The SIRLOIN…that stole the show! Tender, flavourful and it just hit the spot. Alberta beef according to our server, which is even better.
My only one complaint is…Why didn’t I know about this place sooner? I’m a young girl in my 20’s looking for spots like this and I had never heard of it. Both times I went it was dead (the vibes were still great), but I have the feeling more people are in the same boat. I will tell as many people as I can about this place, but I do think the owner is going to have to do some serious marketing because this gem is truly hidden. It also looks like it’s closed from the outside, I’d recommend to have lighting of some sort. So yeah, I’m a little frustrated that I’m always on social media and have had no opportunity to hear about it. That being said, I loved it and I wish May all the best! Can’t wait to come back! 🫶🏼
Restaurant did not live up to the high ratings. Food was decent but some dishes were pricy for what you got. $45 for 3 pieces of lamb chop (not even rack of lamb) with some Indian sauce. Whole grilled fish was delicious.
I had an amazing dining experience at May Restaurant! From start to finish, everything was perfect. The bread rolls were amazing - freshly baked, soft, warm, and flavorful (garlic and herb). The Tempura Oyster Mushrooms were absolutely delightful – crispy, light, and bursting with flavor. The Beef Tartare was well-seasoned, with the right balance of textures. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, and the service was top-notch. Highly recommend May for anyone looking for an unforgettable meal! I'll definitely be coming back.
The food was on the salty side; first few bites were great, but it quickly got tiring to eat. The presentation, atmosphere, and service were fantastic however.
I ordered a mocktail and the orrecchiette with an addition of chicken thigh. The chicken was an additional 8$, so I expected a bit more chicken than received. Service was very friendly and she did her best to get our orders to us promptly.
Fantastic brunch at May. The shakshouka is excellent. Easily the best in the city.
And the vindaloo mushroom toast was so tasty too! Chicken thigh on the French toast was yummy!
Service was excellent!!
Washrooms are starting to show some wear and tear which is surprising.
Food was an exception, and the drinks were great. We had a garlic and dairy intolerance to deal with, which is almost impossible to accommodate in restaurants. They did just that, and our experience was perfect!

Amazing food & service Shelby was an amazing server we shall be back
Very simply put, this is by far the best brunch spot I've been to in years.
Our group of four walked in and we were immediately greeted with smiles from the bartender and wait staff. The space itself is clean, inviting, and relaxing.
We all ordered a variety of cocktails throughout the seating, all of which were outstanding and each unique in its own way. These were beautifully crafted cocktails, made with fresh and quality ingredients; mixed and measured skillfully with passion and precision by the fantastic bartender.
Our waitress Shelby was brilliant! She took care of us like no other, great smile and nothing but laughs. She didn't miss a single beat, we always had a drink in front of us accompanied by her recommendations for the next one!
The food was phenomenal, there is no other way of describing it. We started with the tempura oyster mushrooms to share. The table was silent for several minutes as we demolished this wonderful appetizer.
I ordered the Chorizo Verde hash bowl, stunning presentation and smells as it came to the table. Everything was made to perfection. The hollandaise sauce had me in awe, the table collectively agreeing it was the best they'd ever tasted. The corn and pepper relish served on top had me excited for each and every bite, adding an explosion of flavours and texture. Each bite different and tantalizing. The rest of table explored the Farmers Brunch and the Shakshuka, each person silent as they ventured through their meal aside from sounds of gratitude. We left with our souls feeling full of memorable drink and food. We will be back, rest assured.
I am waiting on baited breathe to return and adventure through their dinner menu and service!
Don't forget to try the Chai Martini! You won't regret.
4 of us came in for brunch on Saturday. Food was amazing, great portion sizes. The tempura oyster mushrooms for an appetizer were spectacular. We all had cocktails that were surprising and delicious. Our server Shelby was so friendly, had us laughing, totally put us at ease. Highly recommend, will be back again.
Yummm! Would have been nice if they had a high chair but still earned 5 stars.
Wonderful service!
Everything was amazing. The food was so, so good, the service was fantastic and the restaurant was really nice. I would 100% eat here again.
All the food was delicious but if I had to pick favourites, the gnocchi and the amber fish were out of this world.
