We super excited to dine here but was disappointed with the service, it's one of my favourite places to eat when I visit Edmonton but this time.... I felt like we weren't a priority to our server, the place wasn't full it was maybe half full at the time, we didn't receive an opinion to get refills because our server only brought us our drinks, our meal then that was it....I had to get up and explain to the host in front that we were waiting for refills, and that we finished our meals while waiting and that we wanted our bill... very disappointed to be treated like this...

Our party of 5 had a fantastic lunch. Our server was super friendly and answered our questions so well. Our food was outstanding as it always is at this location. Freshly made, delicious and presented perfectly. We had the tempura icecream for dessert and it was amazing. We will always recommend this restaurant to our friends and family.

I like their finger food options and not a big sushi fan, but they have lots of it and it was a nice place and I like the food and the service is just fantastic

We went yesterday with my family there to have our dinner ,we order and everything was looking soo good until after few hours my wife and I we end up in washroom for few times not sure what exactly happened but yeah !Note we are not allergic to anything!

Excellent birthday Lunch for my daughter. It was quite busy and our server started off strong but took a while to return at the end of meal. Appreciated the birthday ice cream as a treat. We will be back

The food was fantastic as was the service. The cake portion of our dessert (mango cheesecake) was a bit dry, but the sushi was very fresh. I definitely recommend trying their sesame sauce.

Mikato has been our anniversary place for the last 5 years. Always booking a private room and enjoying each other. And the wonderful food. Last night when we arrived, we were told that from now on, the private rooms are for 3 people or more on Friday and Saturday, which has never happened before. That's the reason why we used to go to that location. Then we're put in a room next to a large group with screaming children. Extremely loud voices, they were banging into the walls. The food was good as usual, but on our anniversary, they give us a free dessert on a plate that says, Happy Anniversary last night. We were offered one scoop of ice cream to share between us. It was the most unpleasant anniversary that we've had at mikado. So I guess we'll be finding another anniversary.Restaurant
I had two different salads, sea weed salad and one with noodles. Both very good. Service was a bit slow. Sushi and sashimi were excellent.

Taste of the food is not good, They fry all the veggies in the same oil which they use to fry sea food. Plain rice is provided without any gravy to eat. You can't eat everything thing with soy sauce.

Excellent Japanese restaurant. I’ve eaten here many times over the years and the food and service has always been consistently very good. My latest visit confirms that this is still the case. The sushi is top notch and the service very good. Reservations are highly recommended. Lots of free parking in the lot out front. FYI, they do add an automatic gratuity (18%) for larger groups.
