Always a good time. I really enjoyed their sushi combos and their ebi sunomono is one of the best in town.

Downtown Mikado consistently delivers excellent service and top-notch food quality. The fish is always fresh, and I love that they offer unique options that change every few months. It’s a great spot for sushi lovers!

Quality has really gone down here. Way over priced for what is served.

Overpriced for quality received...Worst California Cone I've ever had and the saltiness Soy Sauce I've ever experienced!

I told the server I was in a bit of a rush and she took me seriously and accommodated me. She was really lovely overall. The sashimi was on the thinner side for my liking but was good!

How dare you don’t have a 15% tip option on the machine. Had to calculate the 15% by using my phone calculator. You are not in Banff. If the service valued 18%, sure. Are you confident that your service level values the 18% tip?? Food is good tho.

I have been coming here for many years and am always blown away by the quality of the food. Their rolls are fantastic and they offer an excellent array of sashimi, including specialty toro. I also love the atmosphere, which is classy, warm and inviting. I recommend if wanting a private tatami room that you book well in advance as they are popular. Overall, this is an excellent restaurant that is perfect for birthdays, anniversaries or just a nice dinner out.

Recommend to try their lunch bento boxes when you are in town! It comes with everything from sashimi, teriyaki beef or chicken, assorted tempura, grilled salmon, chicken and shrimp skewers, and a salad. We ordered two different bento boxes. Everything was delicious especially the tempura and teriyaki beef. But the portion was too big and we couldn't finish the whole thing. Maybe can ask for less/no rice for smaller appetite. Prices are reasonable as dinner per head here would at least be $40. Environment is quiet and comfy with friendly staff.

Over 20 years ago I moved to Alberta. This restaurant was the first Japanese restaurant in Edmonton I went too… I fell in Love with how fresh their sashimi is, the dragon eye roll and back then the Sushi Pizza (please put back on the menu). I have tried many menu items over there years their food is consistently fresh and does not disappoint…after all these years hands down still my favourite Sushi in Edmonton. DT location is the OG

Mikado is a gem! The beef yakaniku is incredibly tender and flavorful, and their specialty rolls are creative and delicious. Don't miss out on their sesame sauce, it's the best in town . Highly recommend this place .
