Great place for a drink or food. The staff was very friendly and the beer was very cold.

Bartender/waitress had a bad attitude, had thrown the menus on the table. Complained that other patrons that just left hadn't tipped her. Didn't check to see how we like the meal and if we needed anything else. If their wouldn't have been a mandatory tip amount already added to the bill (my assumption is, thats because we ordered food), she would had gotten the bare minimum...On the other hand, other than my salmon portion was a bit on the smaller side, receiving asparagus I said I didn't want, and my rice being a little dry, the food was very good. I would definitely order the salmon again! It was tasty and the salmon was well prepared. The seasonal vegetables I had asked for instead of the Asparagus, were tender crisp as they should be. My friend had ordered the Bison stew. He said it was delicious and hardy.

Quiet lounge in the motel. Food was good & able to have a drink without having to worry about driving or weather. There are also VLT's here.

Rooms were clean. Beds were comfortable. We were close to west edmonton mall and many restaurants which is what we wanted. It would have been nice to have a microwave in the room as we had leftovers from 1 meal that could have been reheated.
Great area in the west end of Edmonton close too west Edmonton mall, half hour walking distance to west Edmonton mall, across the road from McDonald’s and 7 eleven, lots of good walking trails, my favorite west end hotel.
Old but clean, OK for one night. Close to West Edmonton Mall. Food is good at the breakfast buffet. Personnel is friendly. Needs renovations soon, rooms and hallways are looking and feeling from another time period
We traveled Edmonton for joining kids tournaments。 Booked a room for four. The price included free breakfast for four. good value for money. Other service is about the average, but considering the price, it is totally fair enough.
Close to everything: the mall, seafood city, Walmart, etc. Very accommodating and friendly staff and comfy beds. The rate is also better compare to other hotels close to the mall Overall, it was a pleasant stay.
The banquet manager was rude and inappropriate. He over charged us with drinks, when I asked for a refund for the over charging he did not budge, instead he said that their system was flawed and he can't do anything about it. I have been e-mailing with other concerns about our event but this manager (Steven guy) never replies anymore after he's got the full payment. An older lady serving was nice during the event and food wasn't bad but I think the manager was sketchy and I regret going ahead with our family event there. I paid almost $7, 000 but it's not worth it with the way they treat their customers and over charging scheme. Not recommending at all.
The carpet is really in bad shape. There was a smell when we entered the room and everytime we came back from somewhere the room had an odor. When we checked in I went to the bathroom and noticed the side of the tub was not cleaned. So I wiped it down with a wet towel. You can tell there were damages on some parts of the walls. The cushion on the chair was stained. I seriously believe that hotels should change to laminate flooring. Cause my dog could locate all the soiled spots on the floor and corners of the walls. No microwave, the fridge was sweating inside. The ice bucket was not clean. Thank God I brought a ice container from home. I know there was a plastic bag for the ice. But the bucket was just spotted with some brown stains inside and outside. I rinsed it as well. Most likely I won't stay here again. It's just felt not clean. Free Breakfast was the highlight. Comfortable bed, soundproof.

Hotel was fine. Rooms were fine. Service … um well … there was none! Couldn’t even get a glass of water with breakfast! Went and asked the staff over beside the water and did the same for a refill later. Tables were clean though so that’s good I guess.
We spent 4 nights at this hotel during our trip to Edmonton. And we got no regrets we chose Royal Hotel. Plenty of parking, good price, good breakfast, convenient(for us) location. Overall family liked our stay at the hotel. I'm sure in the future we will stay more.
The lady in the front desk is not friendly and accommodating also she lacks of being a hospitable! We drove 10 hours just to get there for relaxation and Leisure however She welcome my family in unfriendly manner and she didn't even say than You to us! Lol
