I was very excited to try this restaurant, but I should have checked the reviews first. I couldn’t make up my mind, so I ordered two appetizers and some soup with the intention to take some home.
My braised beef noodle soup with mild spice arrived before my appetizers. I’ve never been served a main dish before the appetizers, so that was new to me. The soup was pretty good, but there wasn’t a lot of beef in it. That’s to be expected nowadays due to inflation, restaurants are cutting down on ingredients. I did enjoy it and the noodles were also really good.
Eventually my appetizers arrived, but they didn’t give me a separate plate to eat from. I had to eat the appetizers right from their serving dishes. I had the kelp salad and spring rolls. The kelp salad was nice and crunchy, but it didn’t have much flavor. The spring rolls were plain and the dip was awful, peanut sauce with wasabi mixed together.
I did enjoy the soup, and aside from the unusual experience with the appetizers, the service is quite friendly. I figured I would have to pay for a bag, but they also charged me for both takeout containers. It’s not a lot, but I was surprised. I definitely won’t be retuning, lol.

Dandan noodles are full of artificial additives. After eating them for 2 days, I felt thirsty and my mouth was full of taste.

The service was quick and very friendly, it wasn’t loud at all in the restaurant, despite they’re being a kitchen in the center, which was very fun to watch. I had the beef noodles with pickled mustard, the flavour was awesome, but the noodles are really the star,, I have the medium heat and I would say if you like spicy food it’s good heat level, but they do have options for less or more spice.
I also tried the signature mango green tea, which was very refreshing and paired well with the soup. If you’re in west ed it’s definitely worth a try

I would give this 1 star just because I had to rate it but if it allows me not to put a star, I wouldn’t even.
It’s like our 3rd time here and tbh it’s always a hit and miss. Sometimes it’s okay sometimes it’s really bad.
Brought my parents here since we really liked the last visit we had and wanted them to try it.
Food was not the best!! So salty and barely meat in there. Dumplings were smaller than before (smallest dumpling I’ve ever seen) you could really see if the food was made with love and this wasn’t giving it. Washrooms are very dirty as well!
Service was very awful, staffs seem like they don’t want you in there. Didn’t give them tips because of the experience and ended up receiving a rude walkout attitude by the server.
I’ve never posted a review before because I’m not here to put a bad word in any business but this is very unacceptable. $95 was wasted!
Would never come back lol..

Discourteous staff, asking for tips directly, no service at all! The food is good however the attendant was insisting on tipping her and was mean in talking and embarrassing us in front of the restaurant. They did not check on us while we were eating and they did not serve the dishes to the right person.

The noodles are really fresh and def add quality to the dishes. I got the flat noodle stir fry and it was really flavourful. However, they can’t modify their spice level which sucks and if you have a peanut allergy you can’t order anything with spice as their chilli oil uses a peanut base. My friend got their famous beef broth noodles with spice level 3 and said the broth was very bland. Overall, great noodles - but not so great options for people with allergies or who like spice.
