The other reviews are absolutely right. The food is really dry and the meat was so dry and tough. Barely any stew on my waakye. Very Stingy with the ingredients for the price they want. I will not be re-ordering.

The Waakye sold here is okay. However, they hardly ever provide enough stew or shito. The waakye ends up way too dry without it, and no matter how many times I’ve asked for more, it doesn’t seem to be taken seriously. A spoonful of stew and a spoonful of shito on top of a full bowl of rice is disgracefully bad. Hopefully that changes as soon as possible.

Goat with fried rice, goat egregiously hard-da. Yes, hard-da. Emphasize the hardness. There was no chance it was cooked the same day. It was oxidated wholly and not just from over-cooking. Fufu was not bad. Puff puffs were good. Fish dry. Bland. Ultimately, we waited about 45 minutes for food in an empty restaurant to no pleasurable gain. Would not recommend.

Likely one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences in Edmonton. The pictures on the menu do not look like what you get. Ethically, how can you sell food knowing it is not what you are advertising? Goat meat very dry and tough. Jollof rice is bland Goat soup is very greasy. Extremely expensive for what you get here. Buyer beware.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant yesterday. From the moment I walked in, I was met with rudeness. The staff member who greeted me was unprofessional, speaking to me in a condescending tone. I informed her that I was there to pick up my food, and instead of a simple, clear response, she curtly told me to sit and wait. When I asked how long I would need to wait, she repeated that I should just sit and wait without giving me any timeline. When my order was finally ready, I asked for pepper, only to be told it was too late to ask for that now. Despite this frustrating interaction, I attempted to proceed with the payment. To my shock, I was charged $70, whereas my usual order from doordash or Uber typically costs $58. When I questioned the difference, she claimed it was due to taxes. I requested to see the receipt, and she acted surprised, stating that receipts are not provided to customers, only to them. I insisted on seeing it, and that’s when I discovered they had sneakily charged me an additional tip of nearly $10 without my consent. When I confronted her about this unauthorized tip, she blamed the machine, claiming it wasn’t her doing. I told her that had she asked nicely, I might have considered tipping, but her rude behavior from the start made that impossible. After some back-and-forth, she reluctantly refunded me $7, but I insisted on getting the full $9.45 that was wrongly charged. She then argued that a fee was necessary, which was entirely unacceptable. I felt cheated and disrespected. To add insult to injury, when I got home, the food portion was shockingly small—just two tiny pieces of meat. It was a complete rip-off, and I was thoroughly disappointed. This restaurant not only provides terrible service but also engages in deceitful practices. I strongly urge others to stay away from this place—they are nothing short of thieves! I will never return.

The food is not worth the poor service and rudeness that you get from the workers. First of all, they didn't even punch the amount into the machine which is strange (is it under the table?). Secondly, the girl at the front was so rude and was giving us attitude and didn't even want to give us an extra wooden cutlery when the food we order needed. it She said "for pickup orders, we don't give extra cutlery" ... what??? Pickup/takeout orders are the only place you should give disposable cutlery to.
I keep saying I'm going to stop going here but come back because the food tastes good, but they are giving smaller and smaller portions, raising the price, and being continually rude to customers.
I'm done.
