Overall not a great experience. Food was ok, service was poor.

We had a party of 8. We had a reservation. We came on Wednesday and it wasn't overly busy. Food came out very sporadically over the span of 45 minutes or so. Some of us got our nigiri right away others waited 30 minutes and got it after all the other food was served.

We had to ask about multiple items that were missed or forgotten. Nearly everyone had something missed.

Near the end of our time slot( 1.5 hours which we didnt realize we had) the waitress came and told us we had to leave in 20 minutes. Meanwhile they had just gave 2 people at our table the last item they ordered. This left them feeling rushed and overall not a great experience.

The waitress then came by 2 more times to inform us we had to leave in ten minutes and then 5 minutes.

After all this the bill had an 18% auto gratuity on it. Bit of a slap on the face.

When we left there was no big party waiting for the table and a few other tables open. No idea why the rush to get us out the door.

Food was fine for the price, nothing exceptional but portions were good. Be aware of the happy hour menu though. You can pay more for the 3 for 25$ item deal than if you bought each item on its own.

Won't be back as edmonton has many other great restaurants to go to.

Food was really late. Then they were rushing us out the door because the reservation was only 90 minutes. Some dishes took an hour to get to us. The last 20 minutes they came to the table and told us you have 20 minutes left.... then 15 minutes left.... ect😅 rude

This place was busy on a Monday night. We got two appetizers, 2 miso soups and two roles of sushi. Before our appetizers were even done, we got a third appetizer ON THE HOUSE because of the delay! Food was great, staff were great and the atmosphere was great.

Great sushi and even better prices! They have awesome daily discounts, like 50% off appetizers. The food is fresh and the staff are always super friendly. Definitely my new go-to spot!

Dinner was mid at best. We went in salmon night. I wanted to just cook the sashimi. If I was a poor student I would go here for an affordable meal. I would not go again, I would not recommend but I would not discourage anyone from going as the prices are affordable .

We saw on social media an influencer recommending Moonga Nori as a good spot to go to have $1 salmon nigiri. We were quite excited and have loved Moonga from their other location. The server indicated that we could order a limit of 30 pieces per person in either nigiri style (with rice), seared or sashimi style (no rice). The price would be the same whether we had rice or not. Unfortunately, we were sadly disappointed in our meal due to the quality and portion sizing. The salmon was cut quite thinly, more than I thought would be normal for a nigiri. But I'm not a sushi chef so perhaps that's how it's supposed to be? I did not feel it was worth $1 per piece especially with no rice. I also noticed that my salmon had some discolored areas and the taste was fishy. I originally ordered 20 pieces and elected not to order the additional 10 to max out as I did not feel it was worth spending an additional $10. My friends who ordered salmon nigiri also expressed dissatisfaction with the quality/taste of their salmon as well as portion size even with the rice.

This meal was so surprising to me as I have previously enjoyed my other meals with this restaurant. Overall all, I give it 3.5/5 and won't return for the salmon nigiri special.

We ordered the nigiri platter not knowing they put wasabi between the fish and rice, I hate wasabi and it made me think the fish was bad when i first bit into it. The beef tataki was disappointing when you can get more and better on whyte for the same price or cheaper. The hand rolls are really pricy for the small size of them.
Also we were there at 5:30. We were told that they close in 30 minutes which is why service was slow, they close at 9:30.

Had my gfs birthday dinner here on Halloween and the sushi was fantastic. The fish tastes so fresh, and delicious, and the presentation of the sashimi special was amazing! We had a great time, the drinks Lychee Kiss was great. And the free dessert for at the end of the dinner was a special touch to make my gfs birthday special. Thank you! Will be back again!!

Tried Moonga Nori's Happy Hour Menu (Mon–Sat, 4–6PM) and it's such a great deal! You can pick 3 items for only $25, and I was honestly shocked at how much food they served

I went by myself and got the Chicken Karaage, Spicy Salmon Roll, and Salmon Sashimi. The karaage was nice and crispy, and the sashimi was super fresh and thick .. like, really thick cuts hahaha. It looked amazing too, especially with the dry ice smoke effect when they served it. 10/10 presentation!

I didn't even finish the roll because I was already full, so I took it home. Everything was delicious and totally worth the price!!!

Also, the server was really nice and attentive :) great service overall!

This was my first time to go. I like their food and the hot chili pepper they offered me.
I ordered the volcano chicken and with chili pepper it explosive. I recommend you to try that combo.

It is my Go-to sushi spot in the city, I absolutely love it, everything is so fresh, and every-time I go I’m sure it will be great time.
The servers are so nice and they always accommodate my special requests. I love sitting on the bar and seeing the skillful chef making everything in front of you. I also bring everyone coming out of the town here to see that Edmonton has great sushi! Lol
5 stars all the way, will be going there again and again.
