The food was good, steaks properly cooked and taste was excellent. except the sticky pudding desert was bland and unappealing. The ambiance wasn't quite what I expect for a steak house, we were seated next to the mall entrance, which is not what I expect when I have a reservation. We went there as it was not a restaurant we have in Ontario as far as we know. So it was nice to have a different experience.
Had the fish and chips as the menu called it. There was little to no fish, all batter. The rest of the meal was good. Service was a little weak and slow, drinks were not kept full and had to remind server of a drink order.
Mr. Mike's is a good choice if you enjoy flavorful starters and fresh salads-the bruschetta is especially recommended, with a unique guacamole twist. The chicken salad is enjoyable, and the mac and cheese with chicken is solid. However, the quesadilla was bland despite being cheesy, and the sour cream-to-salsa ratio didn't help boost its flavor. For a more satisfying meal, sticking to their well-known burgers or steaks is a safer bet. Service can be slow when the restaurant...
